Do u have any tips to write these kind of characters? Idk if you are familiar with Sangwoo from Killing Stalking, but he is a dark and damaged yet interessing character i am interess in writing about but his mind is complicated to undestand imo
My process is actually quite simple. I do have (rather outdated now so if I want to return to this career I'll have to restart from scratch) knowledge in psychology, especially criminal with certain concentrations regarding sex crimes.
However you don't have to be any of these things to delve deep into a character like this. It did help me get in quickly with my knowledge in crimes and the different thought processes of predators that were open to tell me the why and how of their actions.
I literally do a psychological evaluation on these characters. I treat them like a patient in my mind. I look at every heinous thing they've done and try to get a good idea of their mindset with their current and past actions. They always have set patterns given by their creators.
Laito is a tragic character. He was a victim that turned into a predator. It's not that uncommon with incest trauma. His hypersexuality is also another result of this. He needed to have control of something since he had been feeling both used and discarded before.
Even though he's seen as a perv, he somewhat forced himself to do some actions as a way to spread the misery of what happened to him. He wanted to repeat it. Reenact it. Break others. Desensitize.
His "perversion" is a toxic coping mechanism. It made him feel alive to do this even if his body wasn't entirely into it.
He clearly wanted a reaction and did everything to get it.
But I don't want to get into even more explanations regarding just Laito.
Once you've got everything dark, hidden and known to you about the character you want to delve into, it's good to start a music playlist. š
That simple. A Playlist with songs that have lyrics that feel extremely connected to the character you want to write. Let the lyrics enter your brain, relax you and suddenly it feels like your brain kind of pops.
With Laito it was mostly my old faves that I put in the Playlist. The entirety of the The Queen of The Damned soundtrack (especially the Jonathan Davis songs), Deftones, some depressing instrumentals.
The lyrics of a lot of songs were about hatred, being cursed, hurting another for how they make you feel, hurting others to the point to take them down with you... There were many songs I used while writing besides those. I even edited the speeds and put on replay loops when working on particulary POV heavy chapters.
About Killing Stalking... Never got into that franchise, but I don't doubt you can list the dark tidbits of his character and how they initiate and then unfold. Even if he seems unpredictable to others he'll become predictable to you once you dig in and then writing him will become a second nature for you.
Although the music Playlist does help a lot in the writing process, knowing and listing every minute detail of Sangwoo is even more effective. It can be kinda freaky because you eventually truly feel the way the character you're writing feels and once you're in that mode, grab it asap.
Write everything down fast even if you get typos to fix later.

What all the punishments Yandere!Karlheinz will give his wife to break her?
alright, writing karl in full blown yandere mode. therefore, this will be pretty dark, considering the nature of this request.
for this, under the cut it shall go.
tw for dark content. i know itās vague but like. generally, thatās what it is, i guess? idk trigger warnings in this fandom are difficult because.. i mean. this is diabolik lovers,,
hmm.. this is a bit tricky because karlheinz loves making people think heās .. innocent. not like, iām a little baby type of innocent, but rather just.. completely glossing over the fact heās awful. karlheinz knows this. but, ?? who cares? he doesnāt. so long as his reputation is in tact, it doesnāt matter to him.Ā
that being said, he wonāt sacrifice his reputation for anything. like, take his previous wives for example. sure, they can claim that he did awful things or whatever, but first, why would anyone believe anyone elseās words rather than the vampire king himself? heās just that powerful, both physically and status wise.Ā
also, itās really easy for karl to manipulate time and all that jazz, so.. idk. in short, itās not likely his new love would be able to actually convince anyone that karlās not who he comes off as.
which, he could easily argue against becauseĀ āno one is who they masquerade asā, which,,. doesnāt matter. anyways, his new s/o would be lucky to even be allowed to see others at all.Ā
i donāt even know why karl would want to completely break someone other than just for the hell of it, so.. even if things wereĀ to go wrong, he can fix it without an issue.Ā
all of that being said, i think the one big thing karlheinz would do to break his s/o is just completely isolating them. if they choose to be stubborn and act as if they can live their life in isolation without him, he encourages them to try. karl is ultimately convinced that their small little life is in his hands, now.
a part of me wants to compare the situation to christaās, but itās really.. not. karl had a plan regarding her, whereas you.. well, could either be another one of his twisted plans, or literally just for fun. for his own amusement. either way, the more they resist, the worst it gets for them.
all karl wants to hear is just for his new little toy to start acting the way they should. he wants them to accept their situation, and to just let things happen.Ā
but, until then, itās complete loneliness. the only person youāll be seeing is karl, and thatās that. some times he might not even visit them, but he is watching. always.Ā
a lot of theĀ āpunishmentsā they face are psychological. honestly, all of them might be.
he doesnāt want to physically hurt his s/o, at least not in a way they wouldnāt like.Ā
the relationship still remains very.. manipulative. karl will try his best to convince them that heās capable of treating them like a deity, and that theyāll have his entire kingdom right under your fingertips. is that true? ..most likely not. what karl would like to do is just test you a bit, see what truly motivates you.
honestly, you might even turn into his lab if this continues. while he likes to have a bit of fun here and there, and can be a sadist, it just depends if his new lover is truly worth it. karl does not feel as if heās capable of love, and no matter what he feels regarding them, he still believes it. even if that s/o has captured him in a way no one else has, at some point heās going to get aggravated if they hold no importance to his end goal.

Ruki Kisses
- His kisses areā¦intense. It makes me think of the turnĀ āsmolderingā. Because they arenāt quick or scorching but have that low, hot simmer that goes really deep.
- He does not kiss too often. And that is part of what makes his kisses so intense because everything builds between him and his lover.
- I like to imagine that when he gets hit with the urge to kiss his lover, he has times where he deliberately breaks away and leaves them hungry for another from him for a good long time. And right as they start getting settled back down, he swoops in for another. He will just BUILD the tension until his lover begs for more.
Shin Kisses
-Unlike Ruki, Shinās kisses are fierce and frequent.
-Definitely a hot and heavy guy when it comes to making out and will mock his lover for being so aroused after them.
- Surprise kisses. His lover can expect a lot of them and they will be deep. And I mean, pull your breath out from you and hold it like a hostage at the back of his throat kind of feel.

How diferent and similar are Laito and Hannah's relationship compared to Laito and Yui's relationship from the DL game?
I really like Yui, but i dont think a character like her is a good match to a character like Laito, whoever i cant explain why tho. So i was curious about what do you think about it.
Oh I get what you mean. I love Yui more with Subaru or Reiji (I have my reasons for liking her with Reiji. I still remember him letting himself be tortured for Yui š. I deeply love that man)
Laito and Yui do get somewhat better in later games. I keep in mind that Laito has his trauma to go through and sometimes that trauma is hard to ignore. From personal experience, I know some traumas never go away or at least seem to never go away.
Laito has been this way for a long time. He might look young due to his vampiric nature but he's still considerably older than both Yui and Hannah. Actually all the boys are considerably older than the girls.
The similarities would be that both girls are in a captive situation. They react differently. One is antagonistic (Hannah is very antagonistic which leads her to many issues) while Yui, in the first game, defended herself but was quickly subdued. Yui is more tentative yet innocent, kinda going in blind while Hannah is rough and too forward even if she has accessed the situation and doesn't see herself winning. (Hannah is obviously a hothead)
Hannah has almost broken down herself but she's more of a "live out of sheer spite" and "find ways to make him suffer like he makes me suffer" although her sadism is more psychological and "picking at his mind" than physical due to her being in a physical disadvantage. (She's aware of this but she still tries)
With Yui, she's in full survival mode. She does try to fend Laito off but she breaks down so bad that she's literally on the brink of suicide with him gleefully baiting her. I've always seen Laito as someone that likes passing off his trauma on to others and making them feel how he felt as his lowest.
He probably definitely felt suicidal, hopeless, used etc and I put all that into my writing for him. He even encouraged Yui to off him as if it would be an honor cos in his twisted logic it meant she "loved" him.
Yui has been through so much. I really felt for her but she was written in a way that she could be with all the boys, the issues is that a number of the boys have so many issues that getting a girlfriend is definitely not the answer.
They need extensive therapy but since this is fiction we can play around in "fixing" them although realistically they definitely need more than just love and support.
Yui is a soft and very loving girl (I don't get most of the bashing in the fandom tbh). I like writing her trying to take care of Hannah even with her limited strength and also being captive and vise versa since Hannah tries to protect her as well. Sometimes there could be strength in kindness although on some occasions Yui gets extremely hurt by having her heart on her sleeve so I wrote some of her povs showing that she was still cautious and not fully emotionally vulberable.
Hannah is cynical, has a mean streak and she's capable of strong love and caring but only of those she deems worthy. She eventually understands that Laito's past is fucked up and changed his whole personality (I do believe he would have been very different if his perverse mother hadn't done certain things to him) but she still doesn't tolerate his past and present actions. She thinks that didn't give him a right to hurt innocent people.
She knows he has killed former brides as a effed up game in my made up "bride room" in ITS although tbh its canonical that Laito indeed led to the demise of former brides although I think Kanato might have him beat in that department outta the triplets šš.
