Carter getting a cold really wasn’t a big deal, but it was just about the worst thing to happen to Tony ever, if you asked him, because it meant Tony couldn’t be in the same room as his child. He was watching him sleep on a monitor from one floor down when he heard the door open behind him. “El… He’s so far away.”

Tony wasn’t sure it was ever going to happen, but just the idea that Elena wanted to have a baby with him was pretty cool. And then it had happened and she was pregnant and it was perfect. He squeezed her hand, looking at the terrible selection of baby blankets in front of them with obvious distaste. “Our baby deserves better than that. D'you think we should try checking out Etsy?”
