Honchkrow, despite the dex's slandering, are not predispositioned towards mafia-type rackets where they steal people's belongings. That happens, yes, but it is more likely that Honchkrow and their Murkrow flocks will act as vigilantes of sorts! If someone walking out late at night sees a Honchkrow tailing them in plain sight, it's usually in an escort position!
For years I never understood the concept of dark-types in pokemon. But they make a WHOLE lot more sense when u realize that they’re termed as “aku” - or “evil” - in Japanese.
I feel both dumb and embarrassed because (1), I never knew that in like all the 15+ years I’ve been playing Pokemon, and (2), because the only reason I took the time to research this was because I was doing yet ANOTHER piers bulbapedia deep-dive

So the tournament ended... and out of the ten of us, I managed to get 3rd place. :) I'm really proud of how I battled, and how I did with my team. There was one person who completely destroyed me, but I had never met him (he had graduated before I came in and was visiting) and I really couldn't counter his strategy, but he ended up winning 1st; he earned his place very well.
It ended up in a three-way tie because three of us (including myself) only lost one battle. So we ended up battling each other to determine who got what place. I was honestly at a bit of a disadvantage for the whole tournament, because there was one Bug-type team and one Fairy-type team, both of which I won against, and there were no Ghost- or Psychic-type teams, so with everything I faced, I'm really happy with how my team and I handled it.
This tournament, for me, was as close as real Pokémon battling gets. It almost felt like a Pokémon League, something I always wanted to battle through as a kid. And that's one of the best experiences I could have asked for. I had a lot of friends with me (even my bestie through Skype), and it was one of the best times I've had in a long while. :)
