#dark leaf

My little Frankenstein-plant has this new philodendron leaf coming in and it’s so dark all wrapped up! 🤩 so cool 🌱

As promised, Dark Pit had came at 1:30 PM to pick up Leaf and take her to the carnival. While she was having a fun time (and he was as well, even though he could never admit it) he was still contemplating how he got roped into this.

Dark Pit, holding some cotton candy: How’d I get roped into this…?

Leaf, from a nearby booth: Hey, DP! You wanna play a game?

Dark Pit, rolling his eyes: (goes to her)

He sees a shooting range game stand with a plethora of stuffed animals hanging above with bottles stacked below. There was a sign that read “You get 10 chances! It costs $5 to play.”

Dark Pit, doesn’t know what it said: …

Leaf: It costs $5 to play.

Dark Pit: How come you couldn’t just play yourself? $5 isn’t that much money.

Leaf, raising an eyebrow: Well, I would. But, someone had to pay for the tickets…and the over prized carnival food you ate…and the food again when you got hungry after three minutes…and the photo booth…(Holds up cute pictures of them taken at a photo booth). Soooo, I think it’s your turn to pay.

Dark Pit, huffing: Fine…(He pays the fare and takes out the Dark Pit Staff) I already have a weapon.

Dark Pit raises it and carefully takes aim. He knows how this works. Shoot the bottles down, you win. Simple as that…however, he knows that humans love rigging these things so people will spend an overwhelming amount of money just to win. So, he does what no one thought he would do…

He quickly changed his aim and pointed it toward the Mii running the stand, and fired his shot. The Mii was sent flying away.

Leaf and whatever onlookers that were watching stared with shocked expressions on their faces.

Dark Pit, putting the staff away: (jumps up over, and grabs a bunch of stuffed animals, hands Leaf some) Here.

Leaf: …DP, why did you do that?

Dark Pit, patting her hat down to cover her face: Because those things are almost always rigged. Better to find an alternative than be tricked.

Leaf, lifting her hat up and puffing her cheeks: Okay, but-

She was cut off by Dark Pit suddenly grabbing her hand and walking forward.

Dark Pit: You said you wanted to go on all of the carnival rides, right? We should get moving before the lines get too long. 

Leaf: …Dark Pit…

Dark Pit, sighing: I already promised, remember? (looks back at her with a grin) I’d win you some prizes, hold your hand the whole time, and make you happy today while going on the rides.

Leaf, blushing: But…you didn’t promise that last one….

Dark Pit, thinking for a moment: …Oh. Well, I guess it’s a promise I made to myself.

As they are walking, Leaf looks down at the ground. Her hat and her hair are covering the top part of her face.

Leaf, blushing, but secretly happy: (muttering under her breath)…Who told you to make my heart race like this…Baka…

Dark Pit, looking back: Hm? You say something?

Leaf, staying quiet, then looking up with a smile: Nope! C'mon, the lines are probably super long by now!
