Lived Long Enough To Become The Villain Prompt- @flame-of-ostwick
The Inquisition had found themselves hopelessly outnumbered in the Arbor Wilds. In their zeal to track down the key to the Eluvian, they had overlooked Corypheus’ growing numbers. A fatal mistake.Â
While the Inquisitor chased the Magister down, their forces struggled to push his ranks back.
Fire burned, a stark contrast against the lush treeline of the Wilds. Smoke burned the Commander’s eyes as he fought with all his might, shouting orders to what little remained of his men. One by one, they dropped at his side. Sharp, burning pain sent him staggering to his knees as an arrow pierced through his chest. His vision was fading as strong arms seized him, dragged him away. But he heard the Magister’s cry of fury and knew that they had done it. That she had pushed him back once again.Â

Corypheus’ forces were fierce and so were the Inquisitor’s as they met head to head in what would presumably be the final confrontation. The magister’s forces were falling faster by the minute and that was when he knew it was time to unleash the weapon he had spent a month creating.
The ground shook slightly, the sound of metal echoing against the stone of the fortress. The glowing of red growing closer with every heavy footstep. Rumors of the Red General had spread throughout Thedas, entire battalions slaughtered, villages decimated in mere minutes.Â
A hush had fallen over the battled as he appeared through the thick of it. Broad framed and flaxen haired, with the bearing of a soldier. Crystals the color of blood jutted from his armor. Â
Corypheus laughed from the tower, watching the scene before him unfold. “Tell me Herald, what do you think of my new Commander?”
Eyes burned a sinister crimson, mirroring the red aura that enveloped his entire being. As he approached the Inquisitor he slowly drew his sword, expression was blank, devoid of all life.
