[I was 16,She wasn’t really feeling me

so I went to the mall by myself

Hoping I’d run into to someone new

To my suprize I was feeling blue

Had a Dollar and a dream, no summer job at the time

couldn’t afford the salmon dish from the food court

but I ran into an old friend, and he offered to buy me a plate of chicken nuggets

I was like “uuuh nah i’m good, let me get a dollah”

he laughed at me and walked away

hey there delilah blasting in my headphones

playing on this Zune I found  next to a trash can 

I felt like a thief; but, One man’s trash is another man’s treasure or whatever

anyways I ran into a bunch of mutuals that day

It’s what I imagine Alaska, or Puerto Rico must be like

I was getting ready to leave 

when I ran into this girl I knew from another town

she was a little shorter than me with a blonde fro

I was glad I ran into her before I left, cause I was feelin’ lost
