that Dareloth guy on youtube makes some good content - his video on sheogorath's flanderization and his rebuke of all the weird racists in his comment section are quite good - but there is one glaring flaw with him, and it's a flaw a LOT of TES Lore youtubers run into - he thinks that there is any kind of objective truth in TES.
TES is a series of Lies that work to "create" a Reality. Lorkhan/Shor/Shezar/You lied to the Magna-Get to get their help in making/codifying/realising/healing/birthing/recycling Nirn, after all.
The Earthbones, the ideas and laws of physics that make up reality ARE LIES. You can subvert them! You can lie about the lies to yourself and others! You can do magic, you can exploit bugs, you can use the command console, you can Mod the game!! You can break the Dragon Truth and alter time, within the confines of the world!
Everyone lies, and so everything is a mis-truth AND a truth at the same time because someone else is lying about it being a lie.
Even the things you see with your own eyes in the games are naught but theories - Alduin probably isn't like, twink-sized for a dragon. He is probably wide as the world with jaws that black out the stars above. But like, you can't conceive of that, not really, but you need to be able to conceive of him, to identify what you are looking at, to defeat him because that's your Sentence as a Prisoner - to stick him with the pointy end and save the world. So, reality lies to you about the lie of an existing lie - it lies to you about what you can see through your screen so that you can show that the truth you've been told (that the world must end) is actually a lie. Though, that could be a lie too!
Maybe nothing we saw in Sovngarde actually happened, and Alduin perished on the slopes of The Throat - maybe the whole thing with Odahviing was a clever allusion by the skald or historian telling your story to that time another dragonborn allied with a Red Dragon to save/takeover/alter/heal/ruin the world! Maybe the story you were living was story being told, a Lie being made up to justify another Lie as a Truth, or maybe it IS a Truth, THE Truth (or at least your Truth), told as a Lie through a screen to another Dreamer? What's the difference between writing with a pen and writing with a screen-capture program?
