“Basically, ‘Moments’ is about me breaking down old pieces of art. I create such large paintings (around 5-8 ft wide or long) and no one tends to want to buy them because of many factors: ie. money, transportation, location in the home, etc. So, with Moments, I have chosen a few pieces I was willing to part with, cut out the canvas, built/am building a dozen to 2 dozen smaller frames between the sizes of 6″ X 6″ to 24″ X 24″ and I am re-stretching areas, or moments, from the larger pieces that are visually exciting, and putting them on the smaller frames. So, with a bunch of smaller pieces, it’s almost more exciting to sift through each one than look at one large piece. they are more intimate because of their size.”
