The letter comes, and he could tear the world asunder.
Hawke leaves to offer his aid to the Inquisition. He doesn't return. And though Fenris is not one for hope, he does have this final, grim insistence: that this is not a reality he will permit to stand. After hearing whispers of a lost Tevinter temple, he heads south. He will do whatever it takes, will pay whatever cost.
I am yours, Fenris has said, and it is a vow he intends to keep.

Well, itâs that time! Here is my completed fic for DARBB 2015. I was super, super fortunate to work with @verthien. When I first read that description of his art, I knew I wanted to work with him, even though I was like well this is going to absolutely rip my heart out. AND IT SURE AS HECK DID. Tim was also super generous and made me a second piece specifically to accompany âA Thousand Arrows Seekingâ (bless him!) and was a little beacon of enthusiasm and positivity and loveliness throughout the entire process.
Major thanks to all the people I made read this (@enviouspride, who was the first person to hear my plan and see draft one -- idk why that mention link isnât popping up for me, Stacey, but i will just old school link it -- as well as @openthepocketwatch and @neurotrophicfactors). Major thanks to @becausenobreeches, who not only read this fic multiple times but gave me one of the most thoughtful, detailed critiques Iâve ever received. Reaganâs eye for detail, as well as the larger structures of narrative and how that impacts the readersâ experiences, was totally crucial. This would be why I admire the heck out of their writing, and I am so grateful to them. And, seriously, all of my gratitude to everyone who helped out! I donât know how I used to write alone, friends. Mind-boggling.
Timâs artwork, which inspired this fic
the other piece (âHis Markings Ran Redâ by VanHelsing019) inspired by Timâs art, which is a totally different take on the artwork (rated M! because of sex. features a lot of the DA2 gang! has a happy ending!)
