Fans wishing for a Dara and Taeyang romantic coupling got all excited upon seeing the pair's new photo together.

2NE1 member Dara posed for a shot with Big Bang member and solo artist Taeyang on her Instagram (@daraxxi). Both looked amazing wearing matching black ensembles and hats which fueled the frenzy among so-called Darayang shippers.

"Both of you actually look quite compatible. I'm sure Teayang is really loving and hot while you're the sweet but independent woman," said Instagram user fleurlings in reply to Dara's post, and was one of 127,000 fans that liked the photo.

Darayang shippers believe that Dara and Taeyang are a great match. Both are YG Family artists, are known to be single, and have shown great chemistry especially when Dara appeared as Taeyang's seductive leading lady in his "I Need a Girl" music video for his first full-length album Solar.

Dara has confessed before that she prefers a tough and young man - both of which fit Taeyang who is 3 years younger than Dara, has a famously ripped physique and exudes a strong but kind persona. For his part, Taeyang likes small women and Dara is quite the petite gal.

Of course, non-shippers point out that there is nothing remotely special about Dara and Taeyang taking a photo together. Dara also uploaded Instagram photos taken with other guys in the boontheshop men store, including Lee So-hyuk and Hong Jong-hyun, two models in the 2NE1 "Falling In Love" MV, and the girl group's stylist Xin.

Dara is often the subject of shipping because of her long list of male admirers, including top celebrities, and past confessions that she wants to start dating already. She was also recently shipped with Super Junior vocalist Donghae after she uploaded an Instagram photo with him during the recent Super Show 6 concert in Seoul.

I'm gonna sound like a party pooper but...seeing his interactions with Dara, I feel bad for her. Like, he was always pestering her and you could see she wasn't comfortable with him. Plus, him and Seungri were putting her on the spot in front of the camera. It was unfair, especially considering how shy she is. As a not-so-confident girl who's been put on the spot by guys who can't take a hint, I really sympathize with Dara here.

What's worse is youtube comments stating how 'brave' Taeyang is for putting her in a horrible position declaring his affection, how sad it is that Dara won't go out with him and what a great wingman Seungri is....
