Happy World Adoption Day! November 9th is actually a really special day in our family. November 9th 2017 we met a tiny 6 month old baby boy that became our son! . . Our days are not rainbows and smiles all the time. Everyday is not a Disney day. But we try to be loving, kind and positive each day. We know that we are lucky to have Xander. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. Happy Wednesday friends! I’m taking a one day break from our @disneyplus Disneybounding because we’re still recovering from Dapper Day weekend. Haven’t even unpacked from our hotel stay and Xander and mommy just snuggled watching movies all day yesterday. . . This weekend we had the best @dapperday yet! We got to see so many friends and meet so many sweet new ones! . . Our outfits came together really well and I’m not even ashamed I never changed into my dapper shoes on Sunday. Sometime Dapper Day doesn’t have to be full out, it’s okay to just enjoy the moments and not have to make everything perfect. We’re learning with a 2.5 year old that Dapper Day is different than it was, and that’s okay. But we met some amazing friends this weekend that were so helpful and sweet to our little guy and we’re so thankful for these new friendships! . . We went to a meetup on Sunday in toontown hosted by @boundersofcolor @afrosandpixiedust and @blackgirldisney and it was so much fun! It was such a wonderful group of truly welcoming and kind people. Happy fall dapper day! We started out this weekend with a low key Friday night at Disneyland then Saturday morning with breakfast at Goofys Kitchen! We had never had breakfast there before and it was so much fun! . . It was our second attempt at a character breakfast and it went so much more smoothly than our first attempt. Xander LOVED it! He loved seeing all the characters and also really loved the Mickey shaped foods! . . Xander has recently had some issues with dairy (doctor thinks) so we’re trying to be dairy free for a few weeks to see if it helps. One of Goofy’s sous chef’s came out and gave us a tour of the buffet to point out all the dairy free options! They also brought him special dairy free pancakes and waffles and a sorbet for dessert! Disneyland is so wonderful about helping with allergies so definitely ask if you need some guidance! . . We’re ready to spend the day at Disneyland and see friends in their weekend best!
