SUMMARY: Daniel, a pastor at the time, was on holiday in the United States when the Cordyceps Brain infection spread like wildfire. Stuck far from home, and on his own, Daniel wandered the unfamiliar lands trying to find purpose again. But as he met other stragglers, many started to stick with him, trusting a former man of the cloth. But through time his flock viewed his words as more than just the usual gospel, and him more than just your average preacher, but as a divine Prophet.

sweet, savoury or spicy: a mix of sweet and savoury, I can’t do any spice unfortunately but I do have a bit of a sweet tooth, though not as much as when I was younger.

tea or coffee: Tea, I don’t like coffee and as it’s winter here I’ve been drinking a lot of tea. 

currently working on: I’ve been doing some gif making here and there when I’m not at work. Also been doing some editing for one of my friends.

Wow, Frat!Pat is a popular boy, eh?

I’ve been wanting to write a story about Patrick being in a frat for a while, mostly because we’ve got some old photos of Noah that just give off a... vibe. Last week, I was coming to terms with blonde Noah kinda doing it for me, and then @danverses prompted a blonde frat Pat thing. (She also said asshole, but I can’t do that. I tried, it doesn’t work for me.) I hope I’m still able to capture that frat boy douchebaggery while keeping the bones of our sweet sweet Pat intact.

Here’s a snippet:

If you’d told beginning-of-the-semester David that he’d be at a frat party before midterms, he’d probably give you a patronizing smile and shrug it off. But here he was, in the beer-sticky living room of the Kappa Gamma Who Cares house, trying to integrate himself with the masses of snapbacks and Axe body spray. And all because of a boy.

Patrick Brewer was the owner of that head of untoned curls, a look that shouldn’t work, but somehow sent David into a tizzy. He played baseball and hockey, and held some kind of made up leadership position in this very frat. When he’d walked into the Literature 101 course David was taking to fulfill a delayed core requirement, it felt like something had shifted. He looked like a regular old douchebag, complete with sunglasses he left on too long while inside and a faded tank top with arm holes a bit too big. 

But David still felt a thrill at seeing him, awful bleached curls a total mess on his head and arm muscles bulging. It didn’t help that he was actually smart, giving nuanced and critical thoughts on the pre-class readings, as well as actively engaging with other people’s opinions. 

By the end of that first class, David felt a bit off his axis. Patrick had smiled at him as he fumbled through a point, eventually arriving at something approximating what he meant to say, and Patrick had picked it up and expanded on it. He’d shot David another smile after he finished talking, a bit teasing and cocky but still gentle. David wanted to scream.

“I got engaged this weekend.”

David flicks a cool gaze up from his desk. “And?”

Patrick shrugs. “Just… making conversation.”

“I’d prefer if you focused on your job. Thanks so much.”

“Wow.” Patrick laughs, dropping some papers down. “You have the emotional capacity of a brick, you know that?”

Behind the stony set of his jaw and the Givenchy suit, David crumples. He has his pick of countless men and women; yet the flame he’s harboured for fucking Patrick from Accounting since day one still burns, blinding and painful.

Honestly, being on your folklore bullshit is the right place to be. I cried to it just the other day. Thank you for these!!!

dream of some epiphany

I’m not going to write angsty David, I’m not going to write angsty David.

This would be angsty David. He’s in NYC, living a life that he thinks he should love but actually hates. He’s not feeling fulfilled by his job, he has no real friends, and no romantic prospect seems to want to stick around longer than 3 months. 

He starts having dreams of this man, a vision in blue, you might say. They start off faint, just glimpses of him, but then they become clearer until they are able to interact in the dream. Over time, they fall in love, but David hates that it’s all only a dream.

The dreams stop when he moves to Schitt’s Creek, but that’s just as well, he’s lost everything else so why not that too? He tells Stevie about it once when they’re high, and she’s convinced it’s some kind of soulmate thing. And then he walks into Ray’s one day only to be greeted by his dream boy!

never needed anything more

I’d have this be a summertime lovers kind of fic. Patrick and his extended family have rented out a big beach house for the summer, and the massive house next door seems to only be housing one single occupant: David. He ran away to the beach house to get over something, maybe finding out his parents bought his gallery patrons.

So Patrick sees him lounging around and thinks he’s stupidly gorgeous. He’s recently broken up with Rachel and suspected he may be gay, so he’s excited to let himself feel all the feelings for David. Once he gets the nerve to introduce himself, they start hanging out a lot, and Patrick manages to break down David’s walls.

It all culminates with David thinking he couldn’t be enough in a real relationship, and Patrick would tell him he needs nothing more than whoever David is. 

I know I just spoiled the endings of these, but I would maybe write them... Also, there is no consistent tense in either of these so I greatly apologize for that.

Ahhhh I love both of these, thanks friend!
