The downside to a power as complicated as his; getting punched in the face made it difficult to concentrate. Danny was spying, keeping hidden in a self imposed time bubble. He moved in real time, but anyone watching saw the space as it was a few seconds after he passed it. But obviously this was a difficult thing to maintain, and after a while the power failed. 

He wasn’t even entirely sure why he was spying on Ramon. Something about him had just begged for investigation. It had all been going well until his powers failed, then it was ‘who the fuck are you’ and ‘why are you in my house’. As another fist collided with his cheek Danny gave a strangled cry, trying to crawl away. One eye was swollen shut already, and all he wanted was to get away.

“Stop, please, stop! I’m sorry!“

Danny had always wanted to be one of the X-Men, but on some level his powers made him too valuable to risk in a fight. How many people could say that they remained static through mutilated timelines and reality shifts? He’d been able to help put things right time and time again.

But this was Krakoa, and now all he had to do was enjoy the beautiful expression of his mutation. Danny was in front of the White Tower, manipulating time in a sort of artform. Someone threw multi colored glass into the air and he slowed, reversed and advanced the flow of time in the falling.
