Daniel Marshall’s story doesn’t start as a happy one. After being abandoned in an orphanage as a five year old and as an eight year old, he was not the most well behaved child, getting in trouble almost constantly and nearly being sent to juvie once. For him, S.H.I.E.L.D. was a godsend, a place where he could focus his pent up rage and issues into something helpful, something worthwhile, a place where he, while not being one of the most important people there, was able to live without the fear of being abandoned because he was good at what he did. But, as fate would have it, his life was going to get a lot harder and it was all going to be Charlie’s fault, the worst thing was, he wouldn’t even be mad about it.
