Album Review: Origins (Deluxe Edition) by Imagine Dragons (2018)
So this album came as a complete shock to me. Imagine Dragons has decided to release a new album less than a year and a half after their last release. I’m usually hesitant about albums coming out so close to each other nowadays. This album sort of exemplifies why. It is not a bad album. It just isn’t anything special. In comparison to Evolve, Origins lacks some emotion. It’s not as heart-wrenching as Imagine Dragons songs can be. It is varied and a bit all over the place. You still get the great lyricism that Dan Reynolds offers, but the album as a whole is lukewarm.
