Smote - Snodgerss (2025) I've always dug those (mostly) one person bands that give the impression that there's half a dozen people wailing away at their respective instruments like a frenzied orchestra when it's really just an individual conjuring an elaborate musical illusion. Daniel Foggin is one of those people. This 4 minute piece is quick, its percussion differentiates it from the rest of the album (providing that engaging weight that gradually builds to a crushing crescendo), and it's probably the most accessible song on the album. It works for me. I'm into it.
