But ok srs this time - you saw my post and UGH OMG it pisses me off to NO END that 95% of the time it's WOMEN doing this. Just WTF WHY? It's incredibly easy NOT TO and as you said - why is it so hard to believe that women aren't a huge part of men's lives and their development. I firmly refuse to ship Clintasha, but shit - he's a huge part of her life. UGH UGH ARGLE BARGLE *insert lots of cussing*

ACTUALLY. okay so this is pretty much what I study. Not this specifically, but we’ve discussed this in some of my pop culture classes. and like academics have actually taken a look into why slash is so popular in fandoms (because it has been. literally forever) especially among woman. 

so like the going theory is with slash relationships it’s a relationship where both parities are equal. which is probably part of it. but I feel like there’s also some internalized misogyny, and biphobia. so maybe it’s time new academics take a look at fanfiction again.

i am always. always. always. mad about this. like right? the answers are so easy. like a. bisexuality and b. just a simple “they’ll always be important, and they’ll always love them but right now they’re dating this person and in love with this person.” because AMAZINGLY YOU CAN LOVE SOMEONE AND NOT BE IN LOVE WITH THEM ??? actually incredible. who knew that love was more than just romantic.
