theory #1: the nanami in despair side is a robot containing the same nanami AI program from sdr2

this is number one biggest thing that i want to be true and will be upset if its not, because: if the nanami in despair side is a real flesh meat human, that means that she is a DIFFERENT CHARACTER than the nanami from sdr2. that also means that the narrative is expecting us to treat her as the same character, which is SHIT and NO GOOD because that is like saying chihiro and alter ego are the same character.

speaking of chihiro, we know that she and the real gekkougahara were working together on the new world program. since i dont think monaka would go to the trouble of making a lifelike android of gekkougahara, i think its way more likely that gekkougahara herself made that robot, and it was stolen from her after she was killed. 

since we’ve now established that the new world project team is capable of making robots that look like humans, its looking very possible that nanami is and always has been AI, and everything makes much more sense if the nanami in the despair side anime is the same nanami that tries so hard to save her friends in sdr2. 

theory #2: mitarai ryouta is the attacker in future side

this one is mostly process of elimination but it also makes a heck of a lot of sense, ESPECIALLY given what happened in recent episodes of despair side.

let me first argue why mitarai is the only logical option. naegi, asahina, or kirigiri being the attacker is so laughably unthinkable its not even worth reasoning out.

munakata or sakakura is highly unlikely, because they have their own objective that is totally separate from the mutual killing game. ruruka being the attacker would go against a lot of what we’ve learned about her over the course of the show. a large part of her arc is about her severe trust and abandonment issues, and members of shsl despair have unwavering trust in junko. 

the only one left, who has slipped under the radar this whole time, with very little focus given to them during this mutual killing game, is mitarai ryouta. he has done nothing so far but act scared and trail around after ppl (mainly kirigiri, i might add. and why wouldnt a shsl despair NOT be interested in what kirigiri is doing). he even was acting suspicious way back in episode 1 near the bathrooms right before asahina discovered the dead security guards!!!!! 

if what we’ve seen so far in the latest episodes of despair side is the full extent of his involvement with junko and her plans, and he escaped from her successfully, isnt it MEGA suspicious that NONE of it has come up in the future side anime? also, when has anyone ever escaped JUNKO ENOSHIMA by running away? LMAOOOO bitch she will find u

if mitarai became a part of shsl despair, and never underwent the rehabilitation process, then there’s not rly any reason why he cant still be undercover shsl despair now, working as a mole in the future foundation.
