Finally finished the whole Giver trilogy and the final book The Son. Â Lois Lowry is a fantastic author but I cannot stand her endings. Â Every last dang ending in all 4 books were supremely unsatisfying or frustrating.

me: I took a sort of different approach... I think the writer used that tone as a vessel to mask his political commentary in order to avoid censorship. There's a quote here on page 145 that--
