AI-curated art:
Amidst crumbling turrets and faded tapestries, she pirouettes on broken marble, her graceful form a stark contrast to the decay surrounding her. Moonlight filters through shattered stained glass, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across her tutu as she twirls. With each arabesque, she breathes life into the forgotten halls, her movements a bittersweet lament for lost grandeur and a defiant celebration of enduring beauty.

The purpose of the bridge is to connect two parts of the song to create a more cohesive whole.
The end of one part, and the beginning of the next, there is no true end to the tune of time, not even long after you're gone.
The galaxies will dance without you there, until the universe itself dies.
There is a melancholy beauty to that.
Chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
The Bridge
011 was searching for the older boyâs again, trying to remember more. She could remember the more familiar boy's name now, it was Steve. Just thinking about him made her think âprotectorâ , she felt that she could trust him, that he'd earned that trust in more ways than ever necessary.
So one day,
            she
                reached
                        out.

Would anyone remember? Would everyone remember? The second one was much more worrisome to him.
For everyone involved the enemy.
Everyone involved One.
Chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Next Verse, Different from the First
âUncle Wayne? Um, can we talk to you?â Wayne could hear a nervous shuffle behind him, âIt's kinda, sorta, just, um, it's important.â
He turned around and sure enough his nephew was behind him, his hand clutching onto Steve's in a white knuckled grip. His kid was nervous, and the younger boy looked like he was somehow more nervous. âOh boy,â he thought, âI suppose it's time.â
He couldn't say he was surprised, with how fast the two had become so close. As far as he could tell, they'd only met for the first time a few months ago, the day Eddie had thrown himself out of the trailer and onto his bike, and came home talking about his ânew best friendâ. He was surprised when he learned that Eddie's Stevie was none other than Steve Harrington.Â

It's not chance that day. Not a coincidence by any definition.
It had always been the plan after all.
chapter 3 is here!
Chapters 1 and 2, 3, 4, 5
Pin Drop
He's been visiting the library for a few days now, sticking close to the sci-fi section as had become his norm.
It was fun to dip into the worlds of these books, and even if it was just dreams, Steve figured he'd keep coming to the library anyways. It was probably because of the dream that he felt like he could actually go out and find books he liked. In the nicer dreams he'd watch movies and shows with a younger boy, talking about comic books and at least once going to a comic book shop the next town over to buy some new ones together. It left him with the feeling of having something to share with someone who's like a brother to him, and it followed him into the waking world enough for him to no longer try so hard to hide that he liked the geekyer stuff.Â
And it made the world, which now felt so ill fitting, feel a little bit better. It was so much better spending time surrounded by the books, where the silence between people was welcomed as opposed to it being the only option.Â

here's chapter 2! it's been up on ao3 for a hot minute, sorry for the delay posting here! (Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
It's a feeling that had been building in his mind. The feeling that there was some truth to the dreams.
(for those who prefer tumblr or if ao3 is doing maintenance, chapter two is under the cut)
Tentative Steps
The first week after he had woken up, knowing that something was wrong despite everything being the same that it was when he went to bed, was the worst week of his life.
His parents were still gone, Nanny Jenna had been fired two weeks ago when his father had last been home with his mother,Â
âYou're old enough to do things on your own now, Stephen. If anyone asks you, we're at work and will be home soon. We'll be back before the end of summer.â
So now, at 13, Steve had the run of the place, and this past week, the dreams had started.

It felt like dancing, it felt like belonging. They were themselves, and they were each other's. They were other.
Until something changed, or perhaps it always had been-Â no that's wrong-Â and they became two. They were in the Before, and everything that was the same is about to change.
Irreparably.
