MK Fan Girls hang out last night in Harvard Square. Think his ears were burning????
Any advice, S, on how to get Season 3 of Gran Hotel with subtitles, without having to download some virus-y software? Thx! --dancesabove
The only place I know where to watch it is on Sky Arts 2 in the UK. I’m sorry - I don’t know if anyone’s uploaded it anywhere. I understand the first two seasons are on Netflix so I guess eventually the third one will be too but I don’t have Netflix so I don’t know any more than hearsay!
Hope you find a solution!
dancesabove Yes and no... University Challenge is an unfinished WIP and I have a little fluffy fic called Taking It There which IDEK what if anything I was planning... My epic Harry Potter fic is unfinished from like 2006... I wish they were all finished but interests change or you get stuck. I think I now care much more about finishing than I did when I was younger but I haven't written enough longer stories to know if I have a pattern of not finishing. My shorter FICS are finished. As for original stories, I have sooooooo many beginnings of novels! But there's too little of them to count even as unfinished - they're hardly started. So I guess yes I do? I'm actually amazed, writing this, that I finished The Unbreakable Link and Consolation Prize at all. Cripes. :/

The Skyline at 49th and 10th
Thanks so much, dancesabove. I haven't heard of this one but I will definitely add it to the list of possibilities! Thank you!

Six Degrees of Michael Kitchen
As challenged by vagabondtrousers: Connect Michael Kitchen and Daniel Day-Lewis
This can be done in a few degrees unfortunately (MK was in The World is Not Enough with Robert Carlyle; RC was in The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio; LC was in The Gangs of New York with Daniel Day-Lewis)
HOWEVER: I've always understood the rules to be six degrees, no more, no less, (and when we used to play in college it had to be films you'd actually seen...?) so here goes:
Michael Kitchen was in The World is Not Enough with Judi Dench
Judi Dench was in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel with Tom Wilkinson
Tom Wilkinson is in Shakespeare in Love with Joseph Finnes
Joseph Finnes is in Enemy at the Gate with Jude Law
Jude Law was in My Blueberry Nights with David Strathairn
And lastly, David Strathairn was in Lincoln with Daniel Day-Lewis
I challenge (in alphabetical order) dancesabove, enchantedfan, and lauraraposa
To match Michael Kitchen with Max Irons
Enjoy! :)
Second in the (totally bogus) series:

Hee! MK in his DCS Foyle shirtsleeves and vest [properly, 'waistcoat', in British English] gazing soulfully at me. Poor, sweet man seems almost exhausted from the strain of holding back. And those darling crinkles. *sigh*. How I long to trail my tongue along the lovely furrows. He pulls me gently down into his lap and plants soft kisses all along my jawline. *swoon*. - "Mmmore than that, my darling girl, I can't do now." His eyes are filled with pain. I smother his eyelids with kisses. Hee!
Coming soon: cmee57, vagabondtrousers, britishdetectives, wolseley37, mkmohair… and many, many more (abjectadmirer? hmm… who’s she?)
vagabondtrousers isn't shy and has already sent in her request…
