I asked him to do it, I did, it's not- Alex projects, and his mind is fuzzy on the edges in a way that makes Daniel feel sick.
"Alex, stop talking." Armand hisses through clenched teeth. Alex's face crumples like a kicked puppy, but he stops.
Daniel was only seconds away from telling Alex the exact same thing himself, but the boy's immediate surrender to Armand just pisses him off even more.
"Fine!" Daniel throws his hands into the air. "If you want to let him scoop out your insides to make you the perfect boy who won't ever tell him no, that's your choice. If you ever change your mind, if he ever even lets you, I can't promise not to be an asshole, but you know how to reach me." He taps the side of his head.
Alex's eyes widen, and flit to Armand. Like he's waiting for permission.
"You don't have to get his permission to talk." Daniel snaps. "He's not your god. He's a manipulating vampire who's never taken ownership of anything he's ever done in five hundred and seventeen years, and you're so desperate for some sort of structure to warp your life around that you don't even care that he's turning your mind into putty."
"Daniel." Armand warns. Daniel whirls to him.
"What? If he develops a complex over what I'm telling him, you'll just fucking- take it out of his head! Louis, me, and now him, have you ever had any relationship last without fucking with their heads?"
