1) Story boarding - Drawing out the camera angles/scenes that will be seen in the project
2) Layouts -Â Director approves camera moves, depth of field and the composition of the models making up the set and set dressing. It is then the responsibility of the Modeling department to deliver these approved set, prop and character models in the final layout stages.
4) Modelling- the character is drawn out andonce it's design is approved it goes to be modelled in a 3D program before going to the process of rigging and texturing.Â
5) Texturing -Â textures are painted to match the approved concept art and designs
6) Lighting is added to the sceneÂ
7) Rigging -Â Rigging is the process of adding bones to a character or defining the movement of a mechanical object, and it's central to the animation process.
8) Actual animation - cleaning up the motion captured performance and completing the portions of the motion (such as the eyes and hands) that may not have been digitized during the process. This can also include adding  elements such as smoke, dust, water and explosions.Â
