i cant believe the final season of tvd is about the winchesters
a list of times damon’s instinct was to do the right thing for his brother and not be selfish, all before he ever even met elena:
when they were children and damon said he stole from his father so that stefan wouldn’t get hurt
when they first became vampires and stefan was out of control and damon asked lexi to stay and help him
when damon wanted to go to war with stefan but lexi told him that wasn’t the right thing for stefan so he stayed behind and let stefan think he was a terrible person
when damon made sure stefan wouldn’t also end up in augustine
when damon came back from augustine and let stefan think he was a terrible person instead of burdening stefan with the truth of what actually happened to him
…my point is that almost every flashback shows us that the ONE thing damon has always cared about is stefan so why is this show still having damon and stefan say the opposite. for damon to still think that about himself, sure, i get it. but why does stefan still think that?? why is the show still saying it? i just need this bad brother/good brother thing to be over with already.
