I'm mad at flyingcrowbar because she just hardcore inspired me and now I'm plotting out a Percabeth one-shot instead of writing my philosophy essay.
Do you think traditional art is dying/being taken over by digital art? I never really got into digital art as I wanted to physically feel the mediums, also Photoshop and the good Wacom tablets are really expensive :/
I think the fact that there are so many digital artists trying to imitate traditional mediums testifies to how much traditional art is still very much valued by artists everywhere. Just take look at the Photoshop brushes that are available online: ink brushes, watercolour brushes, pencil brushes, etc.
I don’t think traditional art is dying or being taken over. I think art is about finding what materials and what mediums suit your artistic temperament. I’m impatient, undisciplined, and impulsive—layers, ctrl+z, all those digital tools cater to these qualities of mine more so than traditional mediums.
Good Night everyone. Everyone except Jane.
