quick sloppy post-ph damibeck thing point ive been thinking abt and want to share

at some point i want them to go on a sort of date and check out the marketplace and stores on an island thay’re checking out and while they’re separate from the other half of the crew find a clothing shop and decide to experiment with styles they arent used to trying, damien tries a lot of masculine clothing he doesnt usually bother with since he typically prioritizes comfort and practicality over looks while linebeck doesnt usually try anything new bc he really really likes what he has going on normally but out of curiosity and to satisfy an old aspiration decides to pick out and try on a dress and hes really nervous abt it at first but damien is encouraging and supportive and linebeck gets more used to it and less self conscious abt it and how it might not suit him and ends up having a good time trying on a few different dresses and showing them to damien, idk playing with the fabric and flapping it a bit and just enjoying trying out this whole now thing of clothes and finding that he feels just as good as he does with his normal stuff and even tho hes not confident enough to go out in a dress he n damien stick around for a bit and while they leave without buying anything linebeck keeps it in mind and idk man ive been thinking abt linebeck trying on dresses and having a really good time with it

linebeck and damien are the type to be smoking together and simultaneously have the thought ‘man i wish hed put that out on me’ and both think theyre the freak for thinking it

brain is sludge rn so assorted damibeck thoughts. if they stay in one place for long enough they will end up semi adopting the nearest cat. damien is probably the best at prompting linebeck to do basic self care but beyond that he’s just taking shots in the dark until he gets better at it. bellum is ultimately the one looking out for the group’s health since he doesnt need to worry abt his own and uh oh he got attached. theyd read warrior cats. damien has like no experience with dungeons so he’s more than happy to hold linebecks hand for the first few ones. they do both have a years-long backlog of letters they tried to send to each other and when they meet back up it probably takes a week at the least to go through them all. they had sleepovers as kids and dont really have too much of an issue sharing a bed again as adults after meeting back up. it probably takes linebeck several days to tell damien every thing that happened while they were apart mostly because it’s a fair bit of bad news. it was probably a good idea to wait. they’re the most ‘adult’ of the group and that’s a bad sign. damien is obsessive and assumes in his favor more than he listens and harbors some guilt over some things he wants and has a story arc about that and linebeck’s whole. everything. is meant to be central most of the time so he’s just got stuff going on constantly. maybe he gets a smaller story arc having to do with his flaws in the relationship he deserves it.
