“A-Ah, wait, you forgot-” Hui Fang stopped as the apartment door closed all of a sudden. She sighed, placing the forgotten lunch on the counter, shaking her head. She made a note to get up five minutes earlier tomorrow so she could make sure she made lunch for her older sister.
After all, Minseo did everything for her.
It was not that long ago that the two sisters got the call, telling them that their parents died, all of a sudden. The two of them were just watching a movie at home, waiting for their parents to come back, only to find out that they both… just died. Like that. Left them both all alone.
Minseo stepped up, putting her own grief aside, to take care of her little sister so they wouldn’t be separated from one another.
Hui Fang was proud of her sister. She really was. She was also worried that her sister was overworking herself. So, she always tried to do more around the house than she ever did before, tried to not ask for anything, whatever she could. But she did just miss sitting for dinner with her sister and watching a movie or just going out to the arcade together…
But, she knew her sister knew better.
Later that day when she got home, the apartment was empty and… cold. Usually, her sister would be back from university, there would be dinner at the table, her dad would come back from work… But now it was just the two of them. So, she decided to surprise her sister and make a big, gorgeous dinner for the two of them.
However, by the time she was done, her sister wasn’t back and she wasn’t picking up. Without even realizing it, a heavy dread settled in the younger girl’s stomach and she sat on the couch, staring at the door, waiting for something - waiting for anything.
Her worry will probably eat her alive.
