Here is a moment where I sit, holding hands with one of the bravest people I have ever met and tell her the story of the time I didn't stand up for myself. I ripped my heart out of my chest, handed it over and let go of of a weight I had been carrying for almost 20 years. I made a decision based on someone else's fear, jealousy and insecurities. I allowed that person's weakness to take away an opportunity to follow my dreams and passion. Although I say now that I think we both turned out just fine, there's still a piece of me that's wondering what happened in that other universe where @minacaputo and I made music together and travelled the world together. I hold Mina up as someone who did one of the scariest, most frightening personal and dangerous things in the world in front of the entire world and always followed her heart no matter what anyone had to say. Whether it was through painfully honest music, lyrics and performance with @lifeofagonyofficial creating the soundtrack for so many of us sad, lonely kids, or breathing another day. She is a hero and inspiration. Friends, family and fans I implore you to never ever let anyone step on your dreams, crush your spirit, or tell you that you can't be anything you want to be. Trust me.
