As conversation flew between him and the girl beside him, David’s eyes found other things to focus on as most of Daisy’s words went in one ear and out another. He was listening, intently actually, but as soon as his mind deemed something ‘unimportant’ it was thrown out. It could have been surprising that David had been talking to Daisy so calmly at all, neither too interested nor itching to end the interaction. It wasn’t like they were friends or anything.
