So, I just watched episode 1156, and I'll be honest, I've only ever watched the anime if it features characters I really like, such as in this case, the Blackbeard Pirates.
This is the first time Laffitte had been in the anime since his original voice actor, Taiki Matsuno, had died, and I was curious/anxious to see/hear how his new voice actor would sound as him.
Thankfully, Daisuke Kishio performed as the character really well! And he'd been in One Piece prior to voicing Laffitte, where in the past he had voiced Iceberg when he was younger, Vito and Denjiro/Kyoshiro, so he has experience in the series! I'll look forward to future anime appearances for Laffitte (whenever those will be...)
I'll rewatch the episode when it's dubbed, where hopefully Christopher Bevins will still be Laffitte, but for those of you who were concerned about the Japanese dub, be at ease! Laffitte's voice is in good hands!
