she’s that powerful.

The way Solas looks at Lavellan during this scene always just pulls at my heartstrings in some way. I think he caught feelings way faster than he ever had before in his long...long life. I think his whole relationship with her is the first time in a long time he allowed himself that type of indulgence, to allow himself to fall in love. I view Solas as a very compassionate person, in truth... just look at his relationship with Cole, so he cares about people but usually from a distance. Except Lavellan. She just has this pull over him and I would venture to say it actually conserns him and we know their relationship makes him question a lot...

I was killing the Abyssal High Dragon again and threw a Jar of Bees at it and had to pause the game because this thought hit me so hard >u<

Anyone else use Cullen’s romance as Solavellan palate cleanser? I mean, it can be so damn sweet and romantic... like the devs knew we would need to use him a virtual rebound... I enjoy Cullen as a character. He has evolved a lot over the years and romancing a mage in DAI one feels like Cullen kinda comes full circle and definitely only helps along with changing his view on mages. Being someone who is in recovery myself, I appreciate the fact that they really show Cullen’s struggle with his addiction and it was a touch they didn’t have to add. They could have done the whole... oh he quit and all is cool... but no, they really gave that storyline a fair bit of thought and depth... I respect that. 

I am not sure why anyone would ever choose for Cullen to go back to taking Lyrium. He doesn’t want to do it. He is struggling in that moment and I feel like (this may be an exceptionally harsh take) but you have to be some kind of self serving bastard to basically help the dude relapse, when he likely has been clean at least 6 months at this point in time... like even on my Jerkquistor playthrough.... still couldn’t make Cullen take Lyrium again. All he needs in that moment is for someone to tell him he is doing the right thing, that all the suffering is going to be worth it. It holds so much more weight if you are romancing him, it always feels different if you are romancing him. Like he needs a reason to keep pushing and he wants you to be that reason... even more the whole coin moment, I think Perservense is way more of relationship turning point... 

I always felt like... how dare he just tell me that he freaking loves me... then just like swaggers off... I feel like if I were Lavellan I would be like “Hold up, what did you just say. You just can’t drop that shit on me and strut off... who the hell do you think you are?” but no... she just like chills... leaning up against her window. Getting fingerprints all over it and they don’t even have windex in Thedas >.<
