Overthinking
Overthinking is thinking about something for too long in a way that is not helpful anymore; that is why it has a lot of adverse effects on our bodies. It causes our energy level to drop because it consumes much mental energy, making us less productive. It prevents us from deciding efficiently because our brain is constantly producing different options and scenarios. Excessive worrying disrupts our sleep too since our mind is not peaceful. It causes anxiety because our thoughts create emotions, and most of these emotions are harmful; it may be anger, fear, or pain. To avoid overthinking, we need to change our mindset. We need to know that we cannot control everything, that we cannot answer all the what if's inside our head. We must learn to stop in a situation we know would lead us to overthink. We need to let go of the things that hurt us. Feeding ourselves with positive thoughts and getting rid of the bad energy surrounding us. Overthinking not only affects our brain but our health as well; it does not benefit us in any way.
