I want to ask my band director if I can play piccolo tonight because I kind of am planning on going into a career as a professional piccolo or bass flute player and since I don't have a bass flute I should be working on piccolo but I'm too scared of him I'm terrified like oh god what do I do I'm so conflicted but I'm scared he's gonna be like no and I won't be able to take it without crying

bbb I don't like this band very much like I don't feel like I'm really important and like what kind of pep band like,,,, doesn't do dances or movements and stuff with their songs,,??? It doesnt feel like a pep band, an d like my director in Washington would've been lik e 'yOOO Do u thiNK U CAN LEARN DRILL FOR OUR SHOW LETS GET U A YNIFORM YE AH BAND WO OH' AND STUff but here I ha d to ask the director about that stuff And he hasn't really don e anything like" I guess this band doesn't feel like ,, a family??? Like the kids are nice and stuff but I guess I just really expected more, considering this is a band that went to lONDON to March in the new years parade in January like idk I wanna drop out but I told my old director that id stay in band and like, I think my friends would be disappointed if I did drop out of band cause I always talk about how I wanna major in music when I go to college and stuff. and the band director doesn't really have that atmosphere that screams 'I AM A BAND DIRECTOR I LOVE BAND I LOVE MY BAND YEAH BAND!1!1" and maybe that's what I miss a lot??? idk I always looked forward to band at my old school cause even if I was having a bad day those people were the people who made me feel , important and stuff and even the band director was like 'yo r you OK' sometimes like now band is just like 'band. dead serious. competitions. no mistakes. Marching. u gotta be perfect' Ilikes there's nothing fun baout it. the three practices I've been too were mostly me laying on the side and watching (although I got to do a bit of tracking and marching warm ups). And the pep band make es m e mad??? they're not PEPPy enough, and idk there's like 6 songs they cycle through. I guess since band and stuff is like a big deal and they do a ton of competitions I expected a completely different thing??? I m not feeling the 'do good but have fun!!!' Aspect of all of it?? Maybe I'm just being really negative about this whole thing but I really miss that family sort of environment that i was in at my old school

I have to do a math problem to shut my alarm off in the morning and this morning it was 29+26 and iw as convinced that the answer was 89 and I kept putting it in and it wouldn't shut off so I got mad and I fuCKING BIT MY PHONE and PU NCHED IT UNTIL I REALIZED THAT THE ANSWER WAS 55
