We are the Dafenhunds.

Both retired mercenaries, we've made ourselves a home in Teufort Forest, near the RED base.

Our contracts still require us to work for Mann. Co, but we have separated ourselves from the lead team.

We help Mann Co. take care of the townsfolk when they get too curious and go wandering off, sticking their noses where they don't belong.

We also have a passion for religion. That being, removing people from religion that don't belong.

We share a strong belief that cult practices with poor intentions should be erased.

We are pleased to be here!

"Darling were you expecting company?"

Beth peered out the window, not finding a good angle to spy around the corner from. She bit her lip nervously, hiding a bloody scalpel away in the kitchen.

Tolten shook his head adamantly. "I never invite the others when we take a job."

They took turns exchanging worried, paranoid glaces before Beth took a deep breath and opened the door to greet whomever was at the door.

"Stay still, dammit!"

Tolten shoved the bloody man's head down on a metal surgical table.

"GOD WILL FREE ME, GOD WILL SAVE ME, YOU DEVILS. GOD WILL CAST YOU OUT, FOR I AM HIS HOLY VESSEL-" The scrawny brunette man screeched, struggling against Beth and Tolten.

Tolten snarled at this. "I have met your God. He has forsaken you."

"You have filled your followers with sick ideas of what a God's love is. You are no vessel, you are nothing but dirt."

Beth did quick work of shutting him back up with the stained cloth around his neck.

"It's alright. You can at least die knowing you'll repent for your sins, whether you truly care to or not. There are many far more worthy than you of the air in your lungs."

"Beth, quickly, the syringe-" He called to his assistant, who gloved her hands and quickly grabbed the man by his head, slamming it down against the metal surface and jabbing the needle straight into his jugular. The struggling slowly came to a stop, and then there was silence.

"A fighter, he was." Beth huffed heavily, putting the syringe aside and catching her breath.

"Well, let's ice the body. There's a woman who needs a heart and soon. Let's hope those medical records were correct..." He adjusted his glasses and put on a surgical mask.
