Title: âI wonât be lost in the dark as long as you can show me the lightâ Word Count: 1165 Ships: Taegi Tags: Guardian Angel AU, Guardian Angel Taehyung, kinda platonic Summary: In which Taehyung is a Guardian Angel who has been roaming the Earth for decades and Yoongi is a lost boy who finds peace in the quiet of the night.
Also on ao3
Taehyung has been roaming the earth for only God knows how many decades. Heâs seen people of all kinds from all over the world. Experienced the traditions, the adventure, experienced love, too. But eventually everything changed with time. Society evolved, peopleâs mentalities changed, everything he was used to kept changing and he was forced to watch it all happen while being in its midst.
During the present times he kept observing, he kept track of every little change and kept it safe in his memory. He saw how peopleâs feeling varied from happiness, sadness, anxiety and he tried, with his soft presence and little actions to keep the joyous feelings going and cheer up the lost humans. Because that was all he could do.
It was during one of his night walks that he found him. A young man. A lost soul, completely broken and defenceless under the soft light of the moon. His senses awakened, and he felt like crying as the feelings of hurt, misery and worthlessness flooded through him. He was overwhelmed. The angel didnât know how much time passed while he had been entranced by the overwhelming emotions but as looked at the source, the young boy had disappeared, and his heart ached.
Taehyung made it his mission then to find the boy. He remembered his appearance faintly from the brief encounter. The soft dark hair, the thin and fragile looking body. But mostly, he was sure he could find him by the colour and feeling of his emotions.
So, Taehyung looked. He wanted to understand the reason of such misery in such a young man and his heart strongly desired for him to try and make the sadness disappear. He had seen the boy cry and he wanted to see if he could make him smile. He soon found him. The same emotions washed over him and once again he felt his heart break for the boy. Why? How could someone so young feel so misplaced? Taehyung couldnât understand.
But he started to as he kept spending his life beside him. Yoongi. He had found out to be the boyâs name. He had started to understand the boy better and better the more time he spent besides him. And the more he understood the angrier he got. He wished he could do anything. Something more than just observe and do little things when he really couldnât stay still. But he couldnât. He couldnât be seen and he couldnât interfere too much with the human world. So, he stayed by Yoongiâs side. Every day he would watch him struggle to get out of his bed. Every day he watched him get hurt, he watched how evil humans could be to others and he wished, God he wished he could just end them all and create a perfect place just for the boy.
So, he was surprised when, one night, he was sitting in a bench of the small park near Yoongiâs house looking at the starts as if asking the heavens for guidance, and he felt a presence of someone sitting down beside him.
Taehyung didnât bother to check who the person was, too lost in the immensity of the sky and the quiet of the night. But then he felt it. The usual melancholy he recognized so well at that point and when he looked at his side he was faces with two sad brown eyes staring right back at his.
Neither spoke that night. They talked through their eyes and their feelings and Taehyung was perplexed. He didnât know how but he could see him. And after so long he felt a rush of electricity run through all his body and his heart felt alive.
Neither spoke that night and yet it seemed they didnât have to. Yoongi returned to his house just a little after and Taehyung stayed in the park, staring at the spot the boy had occupied.
The next days he kept watching over him and he knew that Yoongi could sense his presence and every small thing he did. And slowly he noticed small changes in him too.
Every night they would meet each other on that bench on the same park. No one of them would talk but it was enough. Taehyung knew his presence was enough. He knew because he kept seeing the weariness in Yoongi fade, little by little. The fear getting smaller and a new-found strength rise brightly in his eyes, overthrowing the constant sadness. He saw him gain courage to confront the world through his music, to start to take control over his own life, and he felt proud.
However, his new-found happiness felt bitter. As Yoongi was starting to gain strength on his own he would feel less and less needed, less and less useful. And the thought of leaving the young boy hurt him much more than he ever thought it would. But he had to.
The next night they met in the park, as usual. The night had gotten warmer with summer coming along. They had been together for almost two seasons now. Like every day, they sat in quiet, but Taehyung couldnât shake the looming worry he felt inside himself. And yet, he had to.
So, he broke the silence for the first time after they met. A small whisper lingering in the night.
âYou know I will have to leave you soon, right?â
Taehyung didnât need to hear an answer. All the answers came in the form of the other boyâs feelings rushing through him. Confusion, worry, panic. All flowing through him as if am unknown force was trying to take over him. However, the strongest one was acceptance. As if Yoongi had accepted that he, eventually, would too leave in the end. Just like everyone else in his life. Taehyung too, would leave him alone. And it broke Taehyungâs heart.
One look at the young manâs eyes and he knew he was a lost cause. Because he was too attached. Too attached to simply leave like he did with every other person he had come closer to before. Too attached to ignore what his heart had been telling him all along.
So, he wordlessly accepted his fate too. He accepted that he would have to give up his life of roaming the world freely. He accepted that after that moment he would be living for one human only, that he would be there to watch over him and protect him from all the bad things coming his way. He accepted that, even though they couldnât properly be together, for he was an Angel and Yoongi was a human, he would love this man until the day he passed away. He would be there through all the moments in his life.
He would be His Guardian angel only.
Because if it depended of Taehyung, Yoongi would never have to be again lost in the dark as he would be there to show him the light.

i saw this prompt from @dailyau (thanks @promptsfordays), and i instantly thought of @eommaeommaâs taekook fic au!
Word Count: 836
Genre: Fluff, Friendship
Characters: Kim Taehyung, Min Yoongi
Yoongi stood with narrowed eyes at the bag of coffee beans he needed. It sat with fake innocence high up on the top shelf, just that a handful of centimeters out of his reach.
And even though Yoongi wanted to blame Taehyung, he knew it wasnât his dongsaengâs fault. Taehyung had been too used to working on his own - or at the very least, with people around his height  - and so never considered that his âperfectâ arrangement of his coffeeshop wasnât so âperfectâ for everyone.
Like Min Yoongi.
Still, the sack of coffee beans wasnât going anywhere at this rate, and the coffee machines were in dire need of refills. Taehyung was still out, and even if he had been in, Yoongi would keel over first before asking the taller boy to reach it for him (and consequently admit he was too short to do it himself). Yoongi glanced around - it was down time, with only a couple of customers around, both busy with their own things. If he did this quick enough, nobody would even notice. He pursed his lips, then swiftly clambered over the clean counter beneath the shelf, grabbed the stupid sack of beans - and another one, just in case - now perfectly in his reach, then climbed back down nimbly, near soundlessly.
He looked around - good, no one seemed to have noticed. Satisfied, Yoongi set to refilling the coffee beans, cleaning out the other espresso machine deftly. Heâd worked as a barista before, back in high school to earn some extra cash for his music equipment, and was more than familiar with the motions despite working at Taehyungâs shop for only a couple of days.Â
The only thing jarring his rhythm was when he had to reach for things Taehyung placed at the stupidly high shelves. It fit the entire aesthetic of the shop, sure - Yoongi of all people would appreciate the tasteful decoration of the place the most - but it was still a bother, and Min Yoongi hated being bothered by the most mundane of things.
âYâknow, you couldâve just waited for me to come back and get them for you, hyung.â
Yoongi jumped in surprise; Taehyung grinned that boxy smile of his, face smug and amused. He glared.
âI donât know what the fck youâre talking about.â
The door chimed, ushering in a new customer and Yoongi inwardly sighed in relief at the welcome distraction. Taehyung was already at the till, charming the young woman ordering a cup of cappuccino. With any luck, Taehyung will have forgotten this, and the matter would be dropped forever.
But of course, Yoongi wasnât so lucky. And of fucking course, Kim Taehyung hadnât forgotten.
Because on his next shift, the next time Yoongi so much as faced the shelves to reach for the sacks of coffee beans, or the tin of tea leaves, or another French press, Taehyung would be there in a split second, bringing down whichever item heâd needed. And Yoongi would thank him through gritted teeth, sometimes even just grunting at him in reply, but Taehyung would smile all the same. And when he smiled that earnestly, that brightly, Yoongiâs fraying temper would go back down to a mild simmer despite himself. Because despite what he might say, even Yoongi couldnât deny that he was soft for his dongsaeng - this kid who reminded him of everything that was good in Daegu; this kid who cheered loudest and earnestly at his underground stages.
But goddammit, if Taehyung so much as stretched his arm overhead near him ever again, he was going to blow a fuse.Â
âStop it,â he growled at last, pinning Taehyung down with a look. âI can manage fine on my own.â
And this time, Taehyung sighed and pouted sulkily before heading back to the till. Yoongi sighed in relief and exasperation. For the rest of his shift, and the several that followed, Taehyung kept to himself, even when Yoongi occasionally had to kneel on the counters to reach for the top shelves. Fucking finally. It seemed Taehyung was listening at last.
Not.
Lo and behold, when Yoongi came to his shift one day, there was a footstool sitting innocently in the little cubby beneath the till. He had a sneaking suspicion it was personalized, because it was white - his favorite shade of white, between eggshell and off-white - covered in fucking hearts of all things, and the perfect height to give Yoongi the right boost to comfortably reach the top shelves.
The dead give away was the print smack dab in the middle of the seat: [ a g u s t  D ]
Yoongi stared balefully when Taehyung came in 5 minutes later. He wasnât sure how to feel when the younger boy only grinned proudly, asking, âSo, do you like it?â
Yoongi continued to glare at him silently.
âWhaaaat?â
ââŚI hate you.â Then Yoongi huffed a tiny, gruff, ââŚ.thanks.â He shoved at him a cup of ice shaken hibiscus tea, just the way Taehyung liked, before moving to switch out the beans for new ones. (God knew why the kid opened up a coffeeshop of all things when he himself didnât even like coffee.)
Taehyung grinned, taking a hearty, happy sip. âYouâre welcome, hyung.â

Homesick (I like your warmth)
Title: Ch. 7/? - Rain and Bears Word Count: 395 Ships: Taegi Tags: drabble, fluff Read it on AO3 :)
Yoongi huffed loud in annoyance as the soft rain started to pour down on him. Of course, of fucking course he had to go and forget his damn umbrella in the warm and cozy coffee shop he had been working in. Of course lady luck wasnât on his side as just a few minutes after he stepped out of the place it had start raining. He huffed one more time, quickening the pace on his way home. There was no way he was going all the way back just to get the damn thing.
People rushed past him in all directions trying to escape the falling doom, honks and voices sounded loud around him. A especially loud one kept screaming for someone. Yoongi could barely make out the âHey youâsâ coming out of a manâs mouth. The person who he was looking for must really be out of it to not hear him call.
He kept moving though, as the rain was starting to get into his hoodie and the cold water reached his skin. The variations of the âHey youâsâ were sounding closer and closer and all Yoongi wanted was for the other person, whoever the hell they were, to just goddamn answer for the sake of everyoneâs patience.
Yoongi came to a sudden stop when a young man rushed past and stopped right in front of him. He looked up to the person, confused. Really, all Yoongi wanted to do was to get home and take a hot shower and lay around in his sofa for a bit.
âHeyâ he let out while trying to regain his breath âfinally caught you, Iâve been calling you since the coffee shop, I think this is yours, right?â He extended a hand with a small yellow umbrella with little bear prints.
Suddenly Yoongi felt his face grow hot as he recognized the embarrassing object. With a shy nod and without looking at the other he reached out for it, taking it from the other manâs hand.
âHmm⌠the umbrellaâs really cute, I guess it does match its owner.â He said happily and a huge boxy smile appeared on his face before quickly skipping away with his own neon green umbrella, leaving a very stunned and very red Yoongi frozen in the middle of the walkway watching his retreating figure, the rain still pouring down totally forgotten.

Title: Ch. 6/? - Ebony feathers Word Count: 485 Ships: Taegi Tags: drabble, fluff, mystery Read it on AO3 :)
It was like a dream, a separate world he couldnât understand.
Everywhere the dark-haired boy looked he faced darkness. The only ray of light was shining down on him from somewhere he couldnât see, almost as if he was a character in a stage play. He felt alone and yet he couldnât shake the unnerving feeling that he was being watched.
He would be convinced none of that was real had it not been for the pain. The pain, the burning feeling that filled him from the tips of his fingers and resonated through his whole body, threatening to consume him.
For a few moments his mind went blank and Yoongi felt like he was watching himself as an outsider. Watching as his body contorted and folded on itself, falling onto its knees to the floor. The pain was making flashes of white appear in front of his eyes each time he closed them, his breath coming out ragged as he struggled to breathe.
Yoongi clutched his hand over his heart, feeling itâs unsteady rhythm through his skin as an especially sharp pang flowed through him.
His head snapped back and a raw, animalistic growl escaped his throat and echoed into the darkness and when he finally started to calm down and opened his eyes an unknown sensation was starting to replace the painful heat inside him. A foreign sense of strength, an unexplainable force flowing in his veins.
A last, unexpected pang of pain made him shoot one of his hands up to his face, covering it to muffle his screams until it all stopped and Yoongi felt himself regain control over his body at last.
He felt tired yet powerful, a different kind of burning inside him and slowly he moved his head again to look down at himself. With slow and calculated moves, he let his hand slip from his face, black hair falling into his eyes, the brown orbs appearing darker and more intense, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips.
And yet as he tried to lift himself up his whole world turned blurry, his vision unfocused and it was as if all the energy he had left had been robbed from him. Yoongi flopped back to the ground, body heavy and head hanging low.
The sound of determined footsteps resounded loud all around him but he couldnât gather the strength to lift his head up, he only knew they were getting closer and closer until they came to a stop right in front of him and yet he couldnât move.
Moments passed in silence and his eyes felt heavy. He knew his whole body and mind were shutting down.
The last thing he remembers is hearing an amused hum as the other crouched in front of him, the tan skin of his upper body exposed through his robes and the big dark wings that stretched out directly behind him.
