Joe was admitted into hospital and any evidence was given to the police and everyone was taken into questioning. Zoe sat by her brother as Caspar slept in a chair and Alfie paced back and forth.

“Joe, come one wake up.” Zoe pleaded crying into her brother’s hand. The siblings’ parents arrived the next day to see their son and daughter. The nurse kept coming in to check on Joe and his heart rate as it kept changing. Everyone booked into a hotel and most stayed there. Everyone visited Joe every hour whilst Zoe and her parents were there all the time. Zoe kept a hold of Joe’s hand and not letting go. Zoe started to doze of when she felt something tighten against her hand. She shot up and started yelling for nurses.

“H- he just gripped my hand.” She exclaimed.

“Okay. Joe, can you hear me?” 

Joe let out a quiet groan as he stirred in his sleep.

“What happened?” He went to get up but he let out a scream of pain and tears welled in his eyes.

“Joe, you need to rest.” The nurse said softly. “You were pushed into the sea and you’ve cut up some of your legs and needed stitches. Your head also needed stitches and your arms are bruised. You are very lucky to be alive.”

Joe was silent but tears were streaming down his face.

“Joe oh my-” Zoe hugged her brother but not tightly in case she hurt him. “I’m so happy. I was so scared and the others.” 

“Is everyone okay?” Joe suddenly asked.

“Yes they’re fine. The audience knows what happened, we told them.” Zoe explained.

“I need to -” Joe started coughing before wincing in pain. “I need to make sure they know I’m okay.” 

“No you need rest Joseph.” Joe turned to the sound of his dad’s voice.

“Dad?” Joe questioned. “Mum? Why are you here?” 

“You are our son.” His mum said.

“You should’ve been more careful.” Graham scolded but only because he was scared for his son.

“I’m sorry.” Joe whispered.

“Now, get some sleep you need it.” Graham said. Joe nodded and got comfortable as everyone planted a kiss on his head and left.

“Thank God you’re okay Joseph.” Zoe whispered as she left the room.
