Shoc.wav is definitely a protective big brother and a total momma's boy. He would probably figure out about Y/N being pregnant before Vox does and use their communication system to tell him.
"Daddy! Mommy has a friend in her belly! I want mommy to swim cuddle with me so I can say hi!!"
Shoc.wav would obviously never attack his mommy who probably swims with him plenty.
aaaaaaAAAAaaaaAAAH stop it i love it too much!!!!! ♡♡♡♡
animals and pets knowing before they do and revealing that is such a freaking cute idea i love it so much. shock.wav telling his papa he's gonna be a dad... just oof. idk whether he'll be happy speechless, or dead cold speechless and the power goes out in pentagram city.
water aerobics is good for pregnancy right? right?? idk i'm ace lol. the water could be good to swim some more with your baby's future brother.
plenty of "why didn't you tell me sooner??" might be worries about how busy he is, or not getting around to it, finding the perfect time.
will probably cry tho. if he's alone with you. in between tears "no it's just....dust in my cooling fan...ok i'm just really fucking happy right now you can't even believe it!"

ɴᴏᴛᴇꜱ: request by @queenlydiaiii for the raffle! based off her lovely OC Viola, Vox's daughter! If you want more lore on their AU, feel free to DM them about it!
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: Vox has a long day, good thing he can always count on his daughter to lift his spirits!
ᴄᴡ: family fluff
꧁⎝ 𓆩༺✧༻𓆪 ⎠꧂
Vox had a long day. All the negative scenarios that could've happened during his work day happened. Valentino had a public tantrum, Velvette cussed out some waitress, and Alastor just happened to "pop by" for a surprise broadcast that almost caused a power outage across the pride ring!
The Vees were a mess by the end of the day. Valentino and Velvette had spiraled into some petty argument that kept him even longer away from his daughter. He eventually managed to convince them to compromise and then slipped out into the elevator quickly without arousing suspicion.
He wish he could just tell them that he had to tend to his daughter instead of lying to them with a flimsy excuse. But, he knew he couldn't. If anyone found out about Viola it could end up hurting the both of them.
He couldn't risk some overlord taking advantage of the knowledge that he'd give anything to save his daughter— that's why he separated his fatherhood from his role as an overlord. God forbid he'd lose her to a petty argument. He already lost a love before, he can't bear to lose another.
After finally getting done with the catastrophe that was his work day, Vox arrives at his floor of the Vee tower. He groans as he enters his penthouse, eye bags evidently projected on his screen. He walks in and shrugs off his coat, tossing it on a nearby armchair.
"Ethan!" he calls out, "you're excused for the day.". With the arrival of his babygirl, Viola, Vox certainly had his hands full. He tried to manage caring for a newborn with managing Voxtek all at once and overwhelmed himself. So, for both his and Viola's sake, he decided to assign his assistant Ethan to be a babysitter while he works.
Ethan was the only other person to know about Viola. It was a tough decision, but a necessary one. He figured if anyone had to know it'd be someone who was contractually obligated to obey him! Besides, he already had his soul anyways— a little extra work couldn't hurt him.
Ethan, a scrawny, nervous looking eel demon, pops out from the corner with his glasses askew and a fussy baby on his hip, "Y-Yes, sir!". Vox grabs Viola from him and rummages through the pocket inside his jacket for a wad of cash.
He hands it to Ethan and waves his hand dismissively, signaling Ethan to leave. Ethan scurries out, leaving Vox and Viola alone. Vox sighs and sits on an armchair, bouncing his leg up and down to try and soothe her.
"Shh shh," he coos tiredly, "what's wrong, babygirl?". Viola's cries only grow lower, rendering Vox's attempts to calm her down as fruitless. Vox groans and feels her diaper to check if she needed a change— nope, she's dry.
He gets up from the chair, his tired joints cracking as he does, and walks into his kitchen. He grabs a bottle of formula and heats it up, continuing to bounce her on his hip as she cries.
"You hungry?" he asks, almost hopefully. He needed to get to the bottom of her crying, he just couldn't be kept awake trying to soothe her again. He presses the warm bottle to her lips where she eventually parts and sucks on it, momentarily stopping her cries.
"Oh thank God," Vox mutters. He sits back down on the chair and holds her in his lap, gently guiding her as she drinks down the formula. He smiles softly at his daughter, a rare, gentle look in his eyes as he admires her.
She had his eyes, and his gills, and his claws— She looked so much like him, and yet, she was nothing short of perfect. When Vox arrived in Hell it took him a long time to adjust to his new form. He was famously handsome and his looks were able to get him far in life.
But now? He was a monster. With grotesque claws, horrifyingly sharp teeth, and don't even get him started on his "head". But seeing all those things he hated on his daughter, he couldn't have loved it more.
She was a mirror image of him and, unlike when Vox actually looked in a mirror, he was more than happy with the reflection. Her mother was evident in Viola as well. Her soft little ringlets of hair, her beautiful skin... it's as if he were seeing a lost loved one through another's eyes It broke his heart and healed it all at once.
He already messed up with her mother, that's for sure. But maybe he could make it right with Viola. Maybe he could love again without losing it— without getting his heart broken like he has time and time again.
Viola finishes her suckling on the bottle as it empties and Vox puts it off to the side. Though, when examining the bottle he notices something strange— bite marks were littered around the nipple, puncturing holes throughout it.
Viola's cries arise again, but this time, Vox knew the cause. "Are your teeth hurting?" he asks softly, "is that whats got you all fussy?". Viola coos and whimpers in response, her hands reaching out and grabbing for Vox.
That was another thing her and Vox shared— sharp teal teeth. It couldn't have been very comfortable getting them in though. Vox was lucky to have showed up that way but the thought of those teeth poking through his gums sent a shiver down his spine. Poor Viola.
He lifts Viola and carries her to the nursery where he grabs a teething toy he bought her. The teether was a silicone, fake phone with buttons and ridges for her to chew on. Viola happily gnaws on the toy as it's offered to her, her cries finally subsiding.
Vox smiles and grabs out his phone, snapping a picture of her adorably chewing on the toy before adding it to his photo album dedicated to her.
He slides his phone back into his back pocket and gently rocks her in his arms, "There we go, sweetheart.". Viola babbles happily in his arms, smiling with the teether in her mouth. Vox takes her to his room and sets her in a bouncer chair so he can get ready for bed.
He straps her in and pulls back, eliciting a soft fuss from her as she's pulled away from the warmth of her father's arms. Vox shushes her and puts her favorite shark stuffed animal in her arms to calm her.
Vox pulls back and goes into his closet to throw on some pajamas, occasionally eyeing Viola in the corner to make sure she's okay. He returns in a plain white T-shirt and navy blue sweatpants with a shark fin embroidered on the hip.
Vox lifts his daughter from the chair and carries her back to the nursery. As Vox walks, the toy drops from Viola's mouth and onto the floor. She whines softly, her brows furrowing before latching onto Vox's claws.
Vox winces softly as she gnaws on his claws. "Jesus, her teeth are sharp," he thinks to himself. Once he lowers her into her crib, he whispers, "Goodnight, darling". But, her teeth are still latched onto his claws.
Vox tries to gently pry her off but she's still stubbornly on there. "C'mon Viola— Let Daddy go—" he says, but she doesn't listen. Instead, she dangles from his claws as he lifts his arm in the air
With an exhaustive sigh, he cradles her back against his chest and walks towards his room, "Guess your sleeping with daddy tonight...". He walks into his room and gets under the covers of his bed, Viola settling on his chest contently.
Viola holds onto Vox tightly, a soft loving embrace that warmed his heart in a way he hadn't felt in a long time. He told himself that Viola needed him— that he took her in to protect her... but in reality, Vox needed Viola.
He needed to see her smiling face at the end of the day, her hands instinctively grabbing out for him for comfort. It made him feel loved, like someone actually chose him. Not for his money or status, but for genuine affection.
As she drifts off to sleep, he turns off the light with a flick of his wrist, sending a bolt of electricity towards the light switch. The room dims to black, the silence in the room occasionally broken by the gnawing of Viola on his claws.
Vox smiles and presses a kiss to her forehead before resting back against the pillows, "Goodnight, sweetheart. I love you.".
Diff anon to the previous but I kinda can imagine that Vox would have anti-tech days for Allie if she wanted. Like after the first few times she legit seems unhappy (and overstimulated) being around it 24/7, even after him pushing a little, he'd look around, roll up his sleeves, and go "ok, anything for my little girl" and set a bit of time and space for her.
Bc as much as Vox is for the newer, brighter future, I think both Alastor and Allie would remind him that there's more than bright neon lights. He'd never 100% go with what Alastor prefers, especially after their fallout, but I think Allie's preference would make him think.
Idk I'm imagining them in a cozy corner that's reminiscent of his time on earth, where they're both reading (her with a book and he using an e-reader), or she's reading and he's doing work the old-fashioned way so as not to disturb the special non-tech time. (One day, he even brings out an old cathedral radio or record player that is totally not super special or sentimental, Allie, but here is how you use it and keep it clean and repair it, so be careful.)
I think when it comes to Allie (and previously Alastor), he bends a bit on his own preferences bc he loves them and if that keeps them with him, he'll make the perfect space for them to exist. He may have lost that facet of himself after he and Al's falling out, but Allie would bring that bruised piece of him back out again.
This is honestly so cute and fluffy. Vox isn't a perfect dad, but he would definitely try for his daughter. At this rate, by the time Alastor comes back into their lives, he'd come to a different Vox. Or maybe, he'd come back to a Vincent.

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! To fill the time while waiting for the meeting with Valentino and Velvette, your Daddah Vox devotes his attention to the demon Sharky. You, of course, diligently support the overlord and the dangerous creature, scattering kisses on the thick glass wall of the aquarium.
"…and Valentino come to the meeting alone, I can't believe I have to say this again" - Vox muttered into the audio speech recognition of his smartphone, thus also sending the urgent invitation to the meeting to Valentino before putting the smartphone aside.
You don't understand why your Daddah is so stressed out while recording a message, but you have more important priorities. After all, Vox went to the trouble of bringing you here early from the capable hands of his assistant, Peppermint, to one of the offices near the large shark aquarium… you don't really know what an important meeting is, but you're happy to be back with Vox.
You love your dad very much, and even though you're not even three years old, you understand perfectly well that there's a reason why Vox is a little more stressed than usual.
"Daddah angry?" - you ask, briefly stopping playing with a mini toy version of Velvette in her pajamas and glancing at the chair where Vox is sitting.
This morning, the influential overlord had stormed out of the V-Tower in a fury before Peppermint took care of you… could it have something to do with the TV report about the Hazbin Hotel?
"Not anymore. I've spoken with Katie Killjoy and… she'll have no further reason to upset me—or to do a fucking good report on the Hazbin Hotel," Vox muttered, a spark of electricity spurting from his right hand.
"Daddah wanna hug Baby Velvette?" - you ask, crawling over to his office chair and holding out the Velvette plush toy. Maybe it'll make him happy? You often find yourself happy cuddling baby Velvette (and yes, you have a Baby Val version too).
"I… no thanks, Dollface. I have other… problematic construction sites under control… if Val and Velvette show up on time!" - Vox said, taking a deep breath.
I had to realize that Velvette and Valentino were taking their time… and it was so important! He needed to make it clear to them that they needed to work on their public image and cause less stress.
Valentino should damn well stop hitting Angel Dust in public. It wasn't good for Voxtek or the Vee brand.
And Velvette should get a grip when she sees Carmilla Carmine. She can't start a fight whenever she feels like it.
Sometimes Vox thinks he's the only Vee member with any sense. And then there was the plan for him to somehow… well… take control of Heaven… yeah, Vox wants to gain power over Heaven… and as a former Cult Leader in his human days, that feeling of power was the closest thing he'd ever had to a god… and fuck yeah, he misses that feeling of even more power. Together they would definitely succeed… he just needed to make his plan a little more appealing to Velvette and Valentino.
But Vox gave you a brief smile and a reassuring pat on your head. He found it admirable how observant you could be, because yes, the TV report about Katie Killjoy (who, for some reason, wanted to be "punished" by Vox… ugh?!…) had really annoyed him. The hotel shouldn't receive any more attention or positive publicity.
You give Baby Velvette the doll another hug and then watch as Vox walks to the large glass wall of the shark aquarium and places his hands on the glass.
There are several shark aquariums throughout the V-Tower, and you're just as fascinated by Vox's pets as Vox himself.
And sometimes you even get to choose the food for the animals and watch as the…unqualified employees and souls under contract with Vox or Velvette serve as shark food.
In this aquarium is one of the particularly large Demon Sharkys. You want to say hi too! So you tiptoe over to Vox's right side, place Baby Velvette on your left, and pat the thick glass pane once with your little hands.
"Demon Baby Sharky! Daddah and me say hi? HIIII! - " you say in a friendly voice, trying to imitate the sounds the Sharkys sometimes make as a greeting.
Big red eyes flashed, and with smooth, elegant movements, the big shark swam toward the glass.
"Who's the best evil Demon Shark in the whole wide world? It's you! It's you!" Vox said to the big shark in baby talk, and the shark swam closer to the glass.
You loved Demon Sharky very much, too.
"Bestest Demon Shaaaaarky!" - you squealed in agreement, showering the glass with toddler kisses. The shark seemed to enjoy the attention immensely, swimming up and down in front of you and Vox, making affectionate sounds, and showing off.
"Yeeeees, you're my little evil Sharklette!" - Vox cooed once more, full of affection for the big, dangerous shark in the aquarium.
"Vox, this meeting had better be important. I was just incredibly busy checking out the latest trends—the ones worth killing!" - with these words, Velvette entered the conference room, followed by Valentino, who was clearly preoccupied with a fish demon with orange and black hair.
And you, while your father struggles to tear his focus away from Demon Sharky and turns to his friends, speak in toddler-like tones, offering more praise for the large shark, who is slowly bumping his head against the glass, as if to say… Demon Sharky is looking after the little toddler girl.
"I said, come ALONE, Val!" - Vox growled, roughly grabbing the fish demon who was sitting on Valentino's lap.
"Demony Sharky!" - Vox shouted, and seconds later he threw the demon into the shark tank…
....and Demon Sharky snatched the troublemaker with his jaws wide open.
"Yay, snack… Demon Sharky, snack!" - you giggle, clapping your hands as a trickle of blood drips from the shark's mouth through the water to the bottom.
i see him deep down being like "i'll be here for you during the pregnancy buuuut i'll prob not really do more than i have to until they're out of diapers." then the moment his lil sharkpuppy arrives. holding in his arms the result of the love between you and him, just looking at him like the best thing in the world 🥺 smiling up at him holding one of his claws 🥺 and then he's like "ok i don't like anybody's baby except mine."
despite his prev attitude, he crammed parenting guides, tutorials on how to change diapers, stuff like that. still a lil old fashioned but lowkey doesn't trust the nannies in hell. protective of his family so he'd rather do it himself in some cases. proud in that way.
during his late all nighters he'll give you some rest and have a little area by his desk so he can work and be there for his baby if they wake up at odd hours. he runs on caffeine and hopes anyway.
also? you and vox's child would be so weird with noises?? the man could yell, scream, short circuit, call an employee everything but a child of god and your baby will just...sit happily in his arms. no problem? it might be something with them just being used to hearing their daddy's voice in the womb. on occasion vox will put on old broadcasts of his if he's in the other room to keep them entertained.
if the forecast is scream rain then that's a dif story. vox will get up to comfort the baby if it startles them awake in the middle of the night. sneak some work in while soothing them, but after a while of him just talking they tend to calm down.
