i just had a thought. imagine being the cashier at some 100 yen shop and looking up to see one twink dressed entirely in sanrio brand clothes holding a bunch of medical supplies (including hello kitty-themed bandaids) and another twink looking like some beef jerky got into a fight with stapler who has probably half of the whole damn snack aisle in his arms

in bnha smash comic dabi is shown driving. confirming that he is a gay who can drive™ is so fucking hilarious to me. imagine him going to a dealer with subs with the biggest shit eating grin on his face

theres smth poetic abt this: if dabi is todobro then his entire existence is built on quirk being priority. so he has to push himself to master his flames no matter what. dabi sees subaru as his equal despite his human limitations, but sub sees past all that power to see dabis human limitations. but thats ok. theres nothing wrong with being weak. sub prob felt that way his whole life. dabi makes sub feel strong abt his skill while sub convinces dabi to feel ok with asking for help sometimes

When they meet again to do one last checkup on the wound, Dabi expresses how lucky the league have him on their side. Saying how well he does his job & the league would've done worse without him. Subaru is taken aback because he's only heard from Toga's words about Dabi's compliments. To actually hear it in person gives Subaru a feeling of,,,belonging? Through the lens of a person with a powerful quirk, Subaru is not inferior than anyone else. He is useful, in spite of his quirklessness6 -H
