I found some old drafts cause I'm moving things out of docs (again) and... You would think titling it "Lashing Out" would have been a hint of the angst.
But apparently 3 years ago I was thinking some thoughts that hit extra hard now lol
Anyways, sharing here until I manage to polish everyone's. But Dorian and Varric's are the most "complete". Aka they aren't notes or descriptors.
These are supposed to be post anchor removal in Trespasser, before the Inquisitor (Isala) has recovered enough to go marching out and deciding the fate of the Inquisition.
Dorian
When Dorian walked through the door, he looked worse than she did. Face a bit gaunt, shadows under his eyes, and his mustache not quite up to its usual styling. Isala regarded him for a moment, her thoughts sluggish as they waded through her foggy mind. Wasn’t he wearing that outfit yesterday, and perhaps even the day before?
“Good, you’re awake. Glad those idiots knew how to do something right. How are you feeling?”
He tries to offer her some sort of smile but it was as if his face was too tired to pull it off. Her brows furrowed, a spark of annoyance. But her tongue was too heavy, the taste of poppy and cloves still lingered in her throat. A sound of disapproval slips past his lips as he looks over her bandaged arm.
“Butchers. You keep the company of two highly qualified mages, and they wouldn’t let us through the door. Do you know how long they kept you here? As if we were going to make the issue worse. Did you know someone accused me of blood magic? Me!”
“Dorian…”
“You should hear the lashing that Madam de Fer is giving them. Kept us away saying-”
She could feel the prickle of his magic as he reached out to inspect her wound. It burned like fire, hot and angry. Nothing like the anchor, which had been like acid in her veins. Consuming her from the inside out. Her own hand, her body, once again twisted into something unfamiliar by magic.
“Dorian, stop.”
Her tone was harsher then she meant, or maybe it wasn’t. Either way Dorian does stop, looking at her with a degree of alarm as his magic vanishes from her skin. A cold and empty feeling, yet it left every nerve sensitive and reach, shooting down her arm as if it was trying to find the rest.
“Isala, I’m-”
“No. You do not get to be sorry. No one gets to be sorry. If one more person tells me that they are…” A heavy sigh as she pulls away from his grasp, “This was not your doing, Dorian. You and Vivienne, you tried. I know you tried. This was beyond all of our control, all magic has a price after all right?”
She offers him a weary smile, one he doesn’t even try to return. Instead she could see the guilt in his eyes, the sadness. She meant what she said, Dorian and Vivienne had tried their damnedest to fix her arm. To relieve the pain as it spread. But this was magic far older and greater than them both. They were children playing trying to stop a flooding river. How could she blame them for this?
“Dorian, when you go back to Tevinter. Don’t be a hero. Leave that to some idiot of chance. Help them if you want, but don’t be a hero. I can’t lose anyone else. I can’t, Dorian.”
Varric
"How could you understand? You cannot fathom what I am feeling, and yet you ask me to describe it? Describing it would be akin to telling you how magic feels, or how I tried to describe the crossroads." Her silver gaze was sharp, cold as she stared down the dwarf, "How I tried to tell you about the sun filters through the branches of unseen leaves, scattering prisms of colours so indescribable there are no words for them. That when we walked through the eluvian and the air touched my skin; that even as the anchor burned through my veins I was at peace."
The pause between them was heavy, thick like the air before a brewing storm. The smell of herbs and tinctures masking the smell of blood and sweat. Isala's face was worn, shadows under her eyes and a greyness to her usually warm skin. Her voice, which had been sharp, shook as she let out a weary breath.
"I have no words, Varric. No words to describe any of this. Just as the crossroads and all its beauty is lost on you, so too is this. Do not speak to me as if you could ever understand. I do not need you to understand. What I need is beyond what any of you could offer me. I am as alone in this as I always am."

Ok so I’m mad pumped about the Trespasser DLC but also !!!!
Are the Sentinels glowing in the trailer glowing for a particular reason or did they only do that to hide their identity (say hide their vallaslin or lack thereof?)
Is it possible that the Sentinels we see are competely unrelated to those we saw at Mythal’s Temple?
Are they even Sentinels?
They seem to have the armor but so does Solas and he’s certainly no Sentinel.
ALSO QUNARI USING ELUVIANS!
I know people have hypothesised there may be a connection between Qunari and Elves in the past (Qunari being Elves changed by dragons blood experiments or something along that line) but are we going to get some confirmation on this theory? Or are they going to completely destroy that?
They seem to be using the Eluvians on their own in the trailer and TME showed that non elves seem to have difficulties manoveuring through them so ????
EDIT
MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW IS COLE
How is the Human/Spirit decision going to impact him and will seeing Solas again make him realise Solas made him forget? And how will that affect Cole?
I want my son to be happy please dont hurt him bioware
