I hope Fellowes realises that there is like 8% of the fandom sat happy with last night and 92% sat screaming into pillows, crying tears of blood out of boredom from the plot. I mean, come on, Mary managed to wiggle her way into plot lines that she didn't even belong in, example being Thomas' plot (which deserved so much more than what it got, I'm sorry the man tries to commit suicide and then it's fixed with a little boy giving him an orange? Really?). Then there's Carson, the man was a dickhead through 50% of the series, pretty much reducing a man to feeling the need to die, and he literally gets excused. I mean, come on! I was also desperately disappointed at the destruction of Bertie and Edith, and then the lack of acknowledgment of Baxter being a complete hero and then also her storyline with Molesley (who's end storyline was, IMHO, great). These are all great characters and were just pissed all over because the storyline decided to be too Mary-centric. The only thing that made up for the last episode of the final ever season being a complete let down, was Spratt turning out to be the agony aunt. Surprises never cease.
