I never thought I could love a "housekeeper ship" or possibly any ship more than this pair. It was this moment right here that sealed the deal for me...
Then I started watching ACGAS and fell in love with these two from the very first episode. I mean, how could I not ship them after this scene...
But then once again, and very late to the game this time, I discovered The Doctor Blake Mysteries and what do you know, I'm suddenly falling down that rabbit hole of the beautiful housekeeper and her slightly grumpy/eccentric man again.
Two out of three ain't bad, still living in hope that ACGAS might make it three out of three in the coming series. 🙏🏻 They are meant to be together.
Anyone recommend any others I might fall for?

Hello! Since you helped me last time, i need a second helping hand. It turns out i'm a lady with memory problems! There are two wonderful Chelsie fanfics whose names i can't remember (as always), and i know very little about the context of the stories. In the first one, i don't know if it has more than one chapter, but Mrs. Hughes loses her memory and is already married to Mr. Carson, and he helps her a lot. It's scary! They kiss at some point and she has a quick memory of the blue room, and he says something about their first time. That's all i remember. In the second one, i also don't remember if it has more than one chapter, but i'm sure it does! I don't know what happens before everything explodes, but the Carsons weren't married yet. It was something at work, and i don't know how it happened, but Mrs. Hughes... cough cough... touched Mr. Carson down there. I think he got very exasperated because everything seemed normal and, the next instant, she was down there. I think he was desperate to touch her, yes, that's definitely it. It haunts me to this day. If you can help me, i will be eternally grateful! 🤍

You know what? I absolutely LOVE the fact that Carson doesn't give a shit that Robert is speaking and his only real concern in this moment is Elsie; look how close to her face he is!! He had never been so close to her face, except in season six!
I thought that it is impossible after all these years to squee and to smile while rewatching all those beautiful people but honestly... my shippy heart is still dancing and jumping

I'm the sort of person who saves a long comment for the end of a work, usually on a second read so I can really gather my thoughts. that's what I planned to do with that fic, but by the time I went back it was gone :/
so on the off chance the author is on here: you should know that this 25 year old who’s mostly into wlw ships is mourning your story about an older middle-aged straight couple from a British historical drama because the prose alone was just that stellar and off the charts beautiful.
