A little tidbit. Not quite an update for D&DB:Z.
So, I've noticed something that has shocked me. And I just needed to discuss it.
The lack of status effects that deal damage in D&D5e. There is no ruleset for being on fire, there is no "shocked" where you periodically take lightning damage or one where you take psychic damage. Theres none of them! And that was kind of integral to an idea I had for the Tactician class. So I'm kind of having to add a bunch of damaging status effects.
I'm modelling them a lot off of things like Moon Beam, where you roll a saving throw you take damage yada yada blah blah. But you know, I just find it amazing that I only realized this JUST NOW! I've designed a trapper subclass for Rogue that I wanted to be able to apply status effects like lighting people on fire. I suppose in most cases it's up to DM discretion, but in this instance I need this stuff.
Hope you thought that was as interesting as I thought.
That said, I'll be implementing a few Status Effects that make sense, and you'll be able to employ them for Ki Attacks, especially as the Tactician class, based on Krillin's clever tactics, Chaotzu's unique fighting style, Guldo from the Namek Saga, Ginyu's body swap, and unique clever little techniques like that. So, hope you guys enjoy. There will be a body-swap subclass lol.
