Magnificent Volute - Cymbiola magnifica
A live specimen ofCymbiola magnifica (Neogastropoda - Volutidae), a species of sea snail with large shell (160-361 mm in length, typically about 250 mm) decorated in a zigzag pattern. This species is endemic to Australia.
Volutes are carnivorous, preying on small animals, including other molluscs and echinoderms.
