If an individual restaurant caused this many illnesses, they would get shut down. But a giant corporation can do this over and over again while consumers are suffering the consequences
This is a corporation that is cutting corners from every angle. They've used slave labor to harvest the food we eat. Have repeatedly been called out for the wretched conditions their workers are exposed to, which is a big part of what results in contaminations, all while they rake in the profits.
They leave a trail of disease in their wake and then go home and sleep soundly on silk sheets.
Maybe if we would at least ban slavery in all its forms, including as punishment for a crime, we could begin to make some progress here.
Always remember that your quality of life is intrinsically connected to the quality of life of every prisoner in this country. If corporations could not exploit prisoners for coerced labor, who have massively reduced bargaining power to oppose unsafe working conditions, then our food would be a lot safer to eat right now.
These issues are deeply connected.
