Lily's chin rests on her husband's head and her arms slowly drape down to his chest, and then, soft pats of her hand happen like a drum. Her tail sways, a proud smile on her face. She looks quite pleased with herself. Only she is allowed to do this, and she's quite smug about it. Even after a few hundred years... its clear Lily has a bit of an ego for, not 'taming' Ginrai but, close enough. Still... she softens and she seeks his hand with her own, she she then shifts her head to rest her cheek against his hair and she smiles softly.
"I love you, my dear lonely fox god. Even now. After all this time... I love you. I will find you in my next life and every life after. You are the salve of my soul and the one reason besides our dear twins that I get up in the morning." She pauses. "I would not change a thing we've done for the world. I love you, Ginrai, son of Nergal and Himawari, rival to Gojira, and owner of my heart." Her tail is thumping behind her.
(she wanted to be soft, sue me)
And his face flushes red as he buries his face in her hair with an embarrassed grumble. He knows she has him wrapped around her finger, and he can't even be mad at her for that. His tails gently sway as they hold each other, and he kisses her forehead.
"Don't speak of such things right now. I don't think I can bear the thought of losing you. Not now. Not ever. You have saved me in ways I can never repay you for. Losing you would make me go back to what I once was, and I fear that outcome."
