I don’t get the love for this shot, I think Rio looks incredibly awkward. The slightly open mouth seems weird. Then you have her eyebrow, which is just distracting. There is no real expression, I actually just see confusion in her eyes. The only good thing is the colour of her eyes.

Kyla clearly is the model in progress in this competition. It seems like week after week she’s learning how to showcase her features better. And I think that she succeeded in this area this week. Her unusual facial features has been caught gorgeously on film. So while she delivered and effective and totally usable beauty shot, I still fin dit a little bit safe. You can feel a tiny amount of emotion in her expression, but that’s not enough to stand out (especially when you’re posing next to Ashley Graham). Kyla nailed the edgy fierce eye contact last week, now she need to learn how to deliver serene and soft intensity !

I don’t know if I love this, or hate it. But at least I am interested. Kyla’s features are so condensed on her face, but perfectly so. In fact, her face is gorgeously symmetrical. I think she does get overshadowed by the other two though, Ashley is exuding such a soft warmth, and Sandra has gone strong and sexy, whereas Kyla is just beautiful. It is enough to get her this high, but no further.

This is nowhere near as strong as I have come to expect from Liberty, but I still love how her face looks. Her jawline is stunning, and her eyes just pop. The expression does read a bit awkward for me, I wanted something more natural. I totally agree with what Tyra was saying, that her lips look stunning when she just relaxes them. The smile looks forced in the shot. The only other thing I wished she had done would be extend her neck, as she has lost it completely.

This ended up in the bottom 2? Seriously? I love the way Christina is melting onto Erin, it makes them feel connected. Most of the other photos this week felt artificially stacked, but these two actually connected. The angle of her face is gorgeous too: I know they were meant to do face-on but what if that wasn’t a good angle for the model? I am so confused as to what Tyra wanted them to do, like wasn’t she talking about cheating angles just a few weeks ago.

What were the judges smoking this week? Why did they like Shanice here. The only good thing about Shanice’s shot is that her face is perfectly positioned. But like, she had the easiest position to work with in this group. The eyes are just dead, and her face looks unsymmetrical. The whole thing is incredibly weak. She is the last one to catch my eye.

Khrystyana wiped the floor with all of her competitors (no one even came close in my eyes) and even may have surpassed Ashley Graham herself! She absolutely nailed the straight on angle and her face looks flawless. I never really noticed how stunningly beautiful her eyes are and they are utterly enchanting here. She is clearly the star of this shot and I could easily see this running as a major makeup ad campaign. I really wish Khrystyana had gotten an FCO at panel for this!

Sandra’s face is absolute perfection. The come hither looks she’s giving with her eyes immediately hooks the viewer in and and love the way her cheekbones look here. The minor nitpick I have is that her lips look slightly too tense which causes them to lack symmetry. However, the depth of feeling in her eyes is more than enough to make up for that issue. Sandra had a stellar week all around!
