Khrys killed it. While she has undoubtedly been the most consistent performer, she hasn’t had that one shot that has just slayed me, well, until now. Every frame of this is flawless. Pause it at any point and Khrys just shines. The first scene just has such power, the intent in her eyes is gorgeous. The second one is gorgeous too, the hair flip works, but it is probably the least impactful of the three. The final one is fresh, young and cute. I love how despite being given such a young and youthful look she brought variation. I am glad to see myself agreeing with the judges, it had to happen at some point this season.

Jeana’s elimination was utter rubbish. Let’s face it, it was done purely for drama for next week. Rio vs Jeana: the indestructible team turned against each other is too good to not be used. This video just is a massive step up from the bottom two. Jeana looks good in every clip, but unlike Kyla and Khrys I just feel she doesn’t have that wow moment. I can’t help look at her last music video and wish the same magic in her movements was present here. The clip with the cage is almost there, but the angle just makes her features look slightly squished. If her head had been tilted down a bit, so there was more separation the video would feel more star-like.

Shanice served the exact same face in each of these shots, but unlike Rio at least it works in some of them. The first two shots behind the fence are just a bit dead, the angle of the face is putting focus on the eyes, which are back to her traditional deadness. The last two work better, I think mainly because there is more body involved. The walking shot sort of shrouds her eyes, and the angle of her face in the last shot is gorgeous. It really reminds me of her golden shot. I think the other girls just had more consistent takes, so Shanice probably should have been in the bottom 2 this week.

Khrystyana’s video is absolute perfection. She is so ridiculously telegenic! I loved that first part where she walked with a flirtatious bounce in her step, and that final shot of her twirling in such a carefree and blissful manner is stellar. I think my favorite shot is the one of her tossing her hair; her profile and soft expression were both so stunning. After a few solid but middling weeks Khrystyana reclaimed her frontrunner status with this video!

I had no idea Kyla had this in her! That crawl on the table was magnificent, from the way she sensually slithered her body, to the delicate hands, to the come hither look in her eyes. That final shot was amazing as well. The angle was perfect for her bone structure and she nailed the seductive expression. Kyla seriously impressed me and put herself back on track with this performance.

The biggest flaw with Jeana’s video is that she didn’t follow through and finish strong. The last portion where she was turning around was completely dead. However, everything else was quite strong. The first shot had a lot of intensity, her walk was great, and the shot of her snarling in the birdcage headpiece helped her take stand out. It was totally clear that the main reason behind Jeana’s elimination was to set up more drama for the following comeback week; there’s no way she deserved to be cut at this point.

Even though Shanice is in my bottom 2 I thought she did a very good job. Her movements were pretty much all on point; I loved the way she peered through the gate thing at the start and the kicked leg at the end was fabulous. Unfortunately, her expressions were much too sleepy the entire time (with the possible exception of the second shot of her behind the gate). If Shanice had stronger facial expressions she would’ve had one of the best videos of the week.

Rio was by far the weakest this week. I think her poor performance during the group portion of the video killed her confidence and it shows here. She just had the same slightly vacant stare the entire time and her movements were tentative. The only shot I actually liked was the one of her walking away with her hands in the air. I would’ve eliminated Rio over this.
