4. Ann

How the hell did Ann get FCO for this? The only part of Ann that I liked was when she was in front of the mirror. The rest was very one note. Her hair was drowning her in the wide shots and her body didn’t do much. The final part by the hedge was okay, but it was Ann’s typical one-note expression. I really wanted Ann in the final 2, but I’m not sure how I feel about her being there now. 

1. Chelsey

I’m not going to even go super into detail because Chelsey fucking slayed. From the hair flips to the big room shots to the name whisper, she did an all around stellar job. However, what she best served was that runway walk. She was serving elegance, dominance and power in her walk. Jane did well this week, but Chelsey killed everyone for sure. I’m so excited to finally award her a FCO and quite possibly the most well-deserved one of the cycle. This performance earned her a final 2 spot even if I was unsure about her place prior to this week. 

2. Jane

This performance proves further what has been the case with Jane all along. If the brief depends more on her face, she slays. Her face looked stellar in the shots in the big room and she was serving fierceness with those eyes all throughout. She did a pretty great job, but it was just a little too late for her at this point. 

3. Kayla

It’s unfortunate that Kayla did poorly this week because she had been doing so well consistently for weeks now. Her takes were okay overall, but she didn’t have a clear star moment. I did enjoy her crying shots, but the shots in the big room were not so good. I wish she had shined more in the hedge part because her face is so gorgeous, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. 

1. Chelsey

Chelsey was definitely in the bottom half coming into this week, but she completely slayed her way straight into the finale with this performance. Her hair flips in front of the mirror were spot on and I loved her intense eyes during the in between moments. The part in the ballroom was her weakest section, but it wasn’t unusable like Tyra said and I actually thought it was still strong; she looked so beautiful and she had a decent flow to her movements. She was also one of the best during the reversed hair flips in the chair section. Her hedge segment was spectacular as well, she brought seduction and was totally entrancing. She was also my favorite during the name part. Finally, that runway walk. Holy moly, if Chelsey had done that on the final runway I might’ve just given her the crown right then and there. This was just a completely and utterly dominant performance, and Chelsey was so robbed of getting called first for this.

2. Jane

It’s very apparent that the camera loves Jane: there was not one frame in any of her takes that looked off. Her shining moment was definitely in the ballroom, she was powering through the hair over her face and she looked breathtaking from every angle. The hedge section was also stellar, I loved her eye contact with the camera and her alluring expression. Jane did an amazing job in this motion editorial and I don’t have any complaints, I just thought Chelsey owned it more.

3. Ann

Ann had some amazing moments and some lackluster moments. I loved the footage of her in the hedge maze (?), her movements had such a mysterious quality and her face was stunning. The same could be said about the parts where she said her name and when she was breathing in the mirror. Those sections were dynamic and really showed her beauty. However, the part where she was crying was painfully over-acted, and the opening shots of her in the window weren’t really usable due to her face getting overpowered by her hair. We also can’t forget about her dismal walking segment, which mercifully wasn’t part of either linked video. Ann did a good job overall.

4. Kayla

Kayla was the worst in the motion editorial, no question. She didn’t really have any standout moments and I didn’t feel like she had enough life in her eyes a lot of the time. The part that solidified her place in the bottom was the footage in the big room: her movements were so disjointed and completely lacked fluidity or grace. I did like the portion where she was crying on the floor against the railing, that was the main moment where I felt her being engaged with the creative.
