9. Esther

It was difficult for me to place Esther. On the one hand, she almost nabbed 2 of my FCOs, but on the other hand, she also spent four of her seven weeks in my bottom 2. Her runway walk was also disastrous. Esther certainly shines in beauty work, but I just didn’t think she was a model. She had such awkward posing a lot of the time, and she never really impressed me in person either. I really enjoyed her peak moments, but her weak points were too glaring to ignore. I rather liked Esther as a person, she seemed sweet, but this is as far as she got.

10. Lexie

During my re-watch, I assumed Lexie was awful because I have seen her get plenty of hate over the years. However, I don’t quite agree with the negative reaction she’s gotten. While I didn’t like her as a person, her modeling was okay. Her first 3 shots were all good enough, and her walk was good on the treadmill runway. While her last shot was definitely her weakest, I wouldn’t have even minded if she had gone for another week. She was one of our filler girls, but she was just fine to me.

11. Rhianna

I have seen a lot of love for Rhianna out there. I have seen claims that she was robbed. I know that she was basically cast to be the weak version of Ann, which is uncool. However, I don’t think she was all that either. Her look had some similarities to Ann, but I feel that her look is very niche and also that her face will only photograph well if in profile or with extreme makeup because her natural face gives very dull expression to me. Her first shot was bad and her second was great. The third was weak, but not the worst. I just feel that overall she did place correctly. She seemed like a super sweet girl and I’d have given her one more shot when she landed in the bottom, but Rhianna didn’t do much for me.

12. Anamaria

I understand why Anamaria was eliminated when she was, but I do think she had more potential than both Terra and Sara combined. She had an interesting face and her first shot was decent. In an alternate universe, where she wasn’t having body issues, I would have liked to see her go further just to see what she would have pulled out.

13. Sara

Although Terra was the first one cut, I always forget Sara. Her first shot was kind of decent, but the second one sucked. What I do recall is that questionable makeover she got. I thought the idea of the black hair and bleached brows could work on someone else, but not her. She also just didn't look like a model to me. I feel like she was definitely one of the cast-for-filler girls. Second seemed right for her to go.

14. Terra

The older of our dear sisters this cycle was the first girl to go and even though I would have sent someone else packing on that first week, I agree with Terra’s overall placement. I get the feeling that Terra could have lasted at least a good 3-4 weeks, but her lack of confidence was far too evident to ignore. Even in some of her confessionals she looked like she was ready to cry at any given moment. Her first photo was one of the weakest and her look wasn’t very exciting in comparison to some of the others this cycle. Overall, there wasn’t really another choice for this spot besides her.

Final Deliberation

Runway:

I didn’t think much of this runway. This cycle was one of the weaker ones for runway. Ann couldn’t shake the deer in the headlights look, but her walk wasn’t too bad. I just wish she walked and pose with more confidence. Chelsey was, unsurprisingly, the better of the two. She did have laser focus and her walk was good, but it was a little underwhelming considering what we had seen from here this cycle. Nonetheless, Chelsey did better.

Covergirl Photos:

I like Ann’s shot. It’s very different from any other Covergirl photo that we saw in other cycles. There’s a nice mysterious quality to it. I don’t think it’s her best shot, but it’s nice. Chelsey’s shot is stunning! It’s one of the best Covergirl photos in the show’s history. I was shocked when Roberto Cavalli said that Ann would sell the product and not Chelsey. Well, the fix had been in at this point, so he probably played along.

Covergirl Commercial:

Surprisingly, Ann did a little better. With this being the only voiceover Covergirl commercial, I think it helped Ann. She was a lot more natural with her acting and her voice was nice as she spoke. Chelsey didn’t do bad, but her acting was a little more forced. I did agree with them that the commercial wasn’t quite focused on the product, but many ads are that way, so I didn’t mind it.

My Final Deliberation and Verdict:

I don’t mind that Ann won because she is one of the most photogenic girls ever on the show and her overall portfolio is winner-worthy. However, her weakness in commercials, runway and her downward slip in quality during the second half of the cycle would deter me from choosing her as the winner. Chelsey would have been my choice because even though she didn’t start at the same level as Ann, she was consistent and she was the best walker and had a great look. Italy also saw some of her best performances as well. She wouldn’t have been my choice pre-overseas, but she really brought it home in the final 4 weeks of the competition and managed to get slightly past Ann’s overall body of work.

1. Chelsey

I’m not going to even go super into detail because Chelsey fucking slayed. From the hair flips to the big room shots to the name whisper, she did an all around stellar job. However, what she best served was that runway walk. She was serving elegance, dominance and power in her walk. Jane did well this week, but Chelsey killed everyone for sure. I’m so excited to finally award her a FCO and quite possibly the most well-deserved one of the cycle. This performance earned her a final 2 spot even if I was unsure about her place prior to this week.

2. Jane

This performance proves further what has been the case with Jane all along. If the brief depends more on her face, she slays. Her face looked stellar in the shots in the big room and she was serving fierceness with those eyes all throughout. She did a pretty great job, but it was just a little too late for her at this point.

3. Kayla

It’s unfortunate that Kayla did poorly this week because she had been doing so well consistently for weeks now. Her takes were okay overall, but she didn’t have a clear star moment. I did enjoy her crying shots, but the shots in the big room were not so good. I wish she had shined more in the hedge part because her face is so gorgeous, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

4. Ann

How the hell did Ann get FCO for this? The only part of Ann that I liked was when she was in front of the mirror. The rest was very one note. Her hair was drowning her in the wide shots and her body didn’t do much. The final part by the hedge was okay, but it was Ann’s typical one-note expression. I really wanted Ann in the final 2, but I’m not sure how I feel about her being there now.

1. Kayla

This is one of my favorite shots of the cycle. Kayla created such an amazing connection with the male model without even looking at him. Her body is giving curves and angles and that face is dreamy and divine! She looks so elegant and tall while serving face and romance all in one. Kayla absolutely deserved this FCO!

2. Ann

Finally, Ann is back. This shot is so good, I love the way Ann has played with her body. Also, her profile is very strong. It reads quirky, but also delicate. Ann really looks like she’s coming to life and she managed to make the photo pretty much all about her even if he’s right there. It’s gorgeous.

3. Chelsey

This shot is the clear middle one of the group. Her body look alright, I like her hand in the guy’s hair. I don’t think profile worked quite as well for her this week. Also, there is a little too much tension in her shoulders and neck. Nonetheless, it’s definitely good enough for her to not end up in the bottom, but it doesn’t hold a candle to Kayla and Ann’s shots.

4. Jane

I like Jane’s pose. Her body language makes this connection seem authentic . However, Jane’s strongest feature, her face, is not at a good angle here. She looks a little puffy in profile. Also, her expression is more disdain than romance or desire. After a few stellar performances, Jane deserved to land in the bottom for this, but I was okay with keeping her.

5. Chris

Well, we all saw this coming. Chris has the worst photo by far. The connection is barely there and this angle doesn’t flatter Chris at all. Her face also does nothing here. I was totally for Chris making it this far, but it was her time.

1. Jane

Wow, Jane came and slayed this shoot. She is piercing through the hair with those eyes. She’s up there on her own and giving pose and giving face. It has major sex appeal and fashion. I do think she feels a bit disconnected, but because she’s so fierce it didn’t matter. Jane had her own moment in the background and managed to be the star of the photo and for that I award her my FCO. Great job!
