Hey, you hear of the UK goverment wanting to prevent cyber flashing?
source
It seems that they would want to use AI to scan messages to prevent you from being flashed, what do you think?
āļøNo, I haven't heard about this yet. So, thank you for bringing this to my attention š. Here is what I think about thisāļø:
-This sounds like a ploy disguised as something "good" to read your messages. I can almost guarantee that is the real reason they are pushing this. It sounds like a dressed up version of chat control.
- What about consensual nudes between adults? Will those be flagged, too?
- Knowing how flawed AI is, I would never trust it with this type of serious process. Nudes could easily slip through a filter.
I am all for people not getting flashed by unsolicited nudes. (I have actually been flashed in the past on various apps, and I reported those individuals.) But AI is definitely not the right way to go about that. Also, them scanning your chats to check seems incredibly fishy to me. It seems that the UK is trying to scan your chats under the guise of "safety".
